Patrick Dempsey presents the top-of-the-range Porsche 911
Hollywood actor and racer Patrick Dempsey to host Porsche's world premiere of the new top 911 model on September 7, streamed via Newsroom and social platforms.
The latest top-tier member of the Porsche 911 family is about to make its debut. The world premiere is scheduled for September 7, 2025, and will be streamed live on Porsche Newsroom, YouTube, and LinkedIn. The event will be hosted by actor and racing driver Patrick Dempsey, who has a long-standing connection with Porsche Motorsport and notable experience at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Dempsey will guide the audience through key stages of the car’s development: from aerodynamic testing in the wind tunnel and engine refinement to track sessions in Weissach. Along the way, he will be joined by sports car chief Frank Moser, factory driver and brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, as well as popular YouTuber Jason Fenske from Engineering Explained. The presence of Porsche engineers highlights the technical depth of the presentation.
The exact version of the new 911 remains a mystery. Porsche has not revealed whether it will be a Turbo, Turbo S, or another derivative. However, automotive media widely speculate that the debut may involve a Turbo model potentially incorporating hybrid technology, building on the innovations already introduced in the Carrera GTS. These assumptions will only be confirmed once the premiere takes place.
From September 9, the new model will be showcased at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich. At Wittelsbacherplatz, within the Open Space format, Porsche will present the car to the public, continuing a tradition of unveiling key projects in the heart of the city.
The history of Porsche’s top 911 variants has long been defined by the Turbo and Turbo S, which consistently set performance benchmarks for the brand’s sports cars. The upcoming premiere promises to carry this legacy forward, while also hinting at new directions in development. As September 7 approaches, anticipation grows among enthusiasts and experts eager to see how Porsche blends heritage with technological progress.
