Mercedes-Benz Media outlines the all-electric GLC: up to 713 km WLTP, 800-V/330 kW DC, MB.OS + MBUX Gen 4, 39.1″ Hyperscreen, AIRMATIC, MB.CHARGE reservations.

The all-new, fully electric Mercedes-Benz GLC reframes the brand’s design and tech message in one stroke. Up front, an optional pixel grille with 942 illuminated points and a lighted central star (subject to market rules) sets a high-tech signature, while a claimed cd = 0.26 underscores the SUV’s clean surfacing and aero focus. The rear lights echo the star motif, and the welcome/farewell light choreography ties the exterior and interior together.

Inside, the cabin blends a flowing “seamless” dashboard with a new digital layer. A standard MBUX SUPERSCREEN places three displays under a single glass pane, and the optional MBUX HYPERSCREEN (39.1") is the largest in any Mercedes to date. Running on MB.OS with MBUX Gen 4, the system becomes a true companion: for the first time in a production car, MBUX integrates AI from Microsoft and Google, enabling a multi-agent virtual assistant that keeps context and draws on Bing/ChatGPT and Google Maps for knowledge and navigation.

Above, the one-piece SKY CONTROL panoramic roof uses PDLC glass to switch between transparent and opaque across nine segments; at night, an option adds 162 illuminated stars in the glass, synchronized with the ambient lighting.

Under the skin, the GLC launches with the GLC 400 4MATIC (preliminary): up to 713 km WLTP, an 800-V electrical architecture, up to 330 kW DC fast-charging and a forecast up to 303 km of range added in 10 minutes. The 94-kWh battery uses silicon-oxide blended anodes and is designed for serviceability. A two-speed rear gearbox balances punch and efficiency; a front disconnect unit helps reduce losses in partial-load cruising.

Ride and control come from AIRMATIC with intelligent damping and optional rear-axle steering (up to 4.5°), trimming the turning circle to 11.2 m. Car-to-X smoothing of long speed bumps and route-aware ride-height control (leveraging Google Maps data) point to a suspension tuned for both comfort and efficiency.

The new One-Box brake module keeps the pedal feel consistent as the car prioritizes recuperation; in the strongest D- mode, drivers get a robust one-pedal experience with high energy recovery. A standard multi-source heat pump supports winter efficiency. Seats are AGR-certified, materials include significant recycled content, and ENERGIZING COMFORT adds short wellness routines, audio-visual staging and optional Burmester 4D sound.

On assistance, the MB.DRIVE suite scales from SAE Level 2 lane centering and assisted lane changes in Europe to extended city functions initially planned for markets like the U.S. and China. DIGITAL LIGHT micro-LED headlamps widen the high-resolution field and introduce dynamic long-beam swiveling.

Charging is wrapped by MB.CHARGE Public: unified access to a vast multi-operator network, Plug & Charge, upfront price transparency, and an integrated reservation feature at Mercedes-Benz branded stations (currently in Germany and the U.S., with expansion planned). The result is a coherent EV package where lighting design, big-screen UX and long-haul efficiency converge—an electric GLC that aims for everyday ease rather than spec-sheet theatrics.
