Q by Aston Martin Unveils 60th Anniversary DB12 and Vanquish Volante

Aston Martin celebrates 60 years of Volante with limited DB12 and Vanquish Volante editions. Unique design, V12 power and bespoke Q details mark the milestone.

Aston Martin is marking 60 years of the Volante name, a symbol of the brand’s open-top grand tourers. To celebrate, Q by Aston Martin has created special anniversary editions of the DB12 Volante and Vanquish Volante, each strictly limited to just 60 examples.

The Vanquish Volante in this specification stands as the ultimate flagship, powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 835 PS and 1000 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 214 mph, making it the fastest convertible ever built by the marque. The DB12 Volante, with its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generating 680 PS, reaches 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and delivers a more versatile character, balancing dynamic performance with everyday usability.

The anniversary editions are defined by their thoughtful design. Finished in Q Pentland Green with a Westminster Green hood, they project a quiet but confident presence. Anodised bronze accents on the vaned grille and side strakes highlight the cars’ exclusivity, while 21-inch satin bronze wheels and black calipers complete the commanding look.

Inside, a tri-tone cabin of Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory and Woven leather is paired with dark walnut veneers and bronze touchpoints. Bespoke 60th Anniversary embroidery and etched seatbacks elevate the atmosphere to that of a collector’s piece.

The Volante story began in 1965 with the rare Short Chassis Volante, of which just 37 were built. Since then, the name has come to represent not just a convertible but Aston Martin’s philosophy of blending power, speed and refinement. The new editions carry that legacy forward, featuring advanced engineering such as the lightweight K-fold roof, which opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16 even at speeds up to 31 mph.

Though pricing has not been disclosed, experts expect all 120 cars to be spoken for quickly. Q by Aston Martin continues to play a central role in delivering bespoke creations, offering customers almost unlimited opportunities for personalisation, from subtle color accents to fully tailored components.
