The U.S. pet industry has already surpassed $150 billion — and continues to grow. Against this backdrop, Stellantis is introducing Mopaw, a dedicated line of pet accessories from Mopar aimed at drivers who regularly travel with their animals.

The lineup includes pet carriers, folding kennels, interior protection systems, bowls, leashes and even dog apparel. Some products are developed specifically for Mopaw, while others come from established partners such as Nemesys Gear, 4Knines and YETI. The approach reflects Mopar’s long-standing focus on durability, quality and vehicle compatibility.

Integration with the vehicle is a defining feature. The carrier sourced from Nemesys Gear is designed to attach directly to the LATCH system in the rear seat, while seat covers and hammocks from 4Knines protect interior surfaces and help structure the space for pets. This positions Mopaw differently from many general-purpose pet brands that operate outside the automotive ecosystem.

The launch aligns with a clear behavioral trend. According to GlobalVetLink, around 78% of U.S. pet owners travel with their pets, with road trips remaining the most common format. This drives demand for solutions that combine comfort with safety during transport.

In Europe, and particularly in Germany, the safety aspect is even more explicit. Regulations treat animals in vehicles as cargo that must be properly secured. Organizations such as ADAC highlight that an unrestrained animal can become a serious hazard during sudden braking or maneuvers. This reinforces the importance of accessories designed to stabilize and organize the interior space.

Mopaw enters a competitive segment. Brands like Kurgo, Ruffwear and Sleepypod have long offered travel-focused pet products, including crash-tested harnesses and carriers. Mopar’s differentiation lies in its OEM-style integration and distribution through its own dealer network.

The products are now available through the Mopar online store and authorized dealers across Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo and Fiat in the United States. Available pricing indicates a premium positioning, with items such as pet carriers listed at around $200.

For Mopar, this move extends a legacy that began in 1937 and evolved into a global provider of parts, service and accessories. With Mopaw, that portfolio now expands into pet mobility — reflecting how closely everyday driving and pet ownership have become connected.
