Cayenne Electric interior shows Porsche’s digital vision
Porsche positions Cayenne Electric as a cornerstone in its EV plan, aiming for over 80% fully electric deliveries by 2030.
The all-electric Cayenne is shaping up to be one of Porsche’s most important debuts at the end of 2025. The company emphasizes that the new interior is more than just an update – it points the way forward. At the heart of this concept is the Flow Display, the largest screen ever fitted in a Porsche, seamlessly blending the digital instrument cluster, central panel and passenger interface. An augmented reality head-up display and customizable color schemes turn the cabin into a digital space in its own right.
Personalization plays an equally central role. Customers will have 13 interior color combinations, multiple accent packages, and the Race-Tex trim with Pepita pattern as a nod to Porsche heritage. In addition, the Sonderwunsch program opens the door to unique, tailor-made creations, allowing buyers to define the atmosphere of their Cayenne Electric from understated elegance to striking sportiness.
For the first time, Porsche introduces an inductive charging system with around 11 kW of power. Journalists who tested it noted its efficiency and convenience, with charging speeds comparable to conventional AC wallboxes but without cables. On the fast-charging side, reports suggest potential peaks of up to 400 kW – significantly higher than most rivals – though final specifications have not yet been confirmed.
Comfort has also been redefined. A panoramic roof with variable light control, advanced ambient and communication lighting, and new “Mood Modes” create distinct atmospheres, from relaxation to performance-focused energy. Surface heating, which warms not only the seats but also armrests and door panels, adds an even sense of warmth across the cabin.
From a strategic perspective, the Cayenne Electric is a cornerstone in Porsche’s plan to ensure that by 2030 more than 80 percent of deliveries could be fully electric – provided demand and infrastructure evolve accordingly. Alongside the Macan Electric and Taycan, the new Cayenne forms the core of the brand’s electrification strategy. Deliveries are expected in 2026, following its official unveiling at the end of next year.
Early impressions from prototype drives highlight Porsche’s trademark handling and a clear focus on sporty engagement. This combination suggests that the Cayenne Electric will not simply be another electric SUV, but a defining model bridging luxury, innovation and the brand’s performance DNA in the years ahead.
