Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale showcased in Turin with 1967 model, blending heritage and innovation at MAUTO and Car Festival to mark Italian automotive culture.

For three days, Turin once again became the stage of Italian automotive culture. At the heart of the celebration stood Alfa Romeo, presenting its new 33 Stradale alongside the legendary 1967 forerunner. This rare encounter between past and present symbolized how the brand continues to weave a dialogue between tradition and modernity.

The festive atmosphere was felt throughout the weekend. On Piazza Castello, visitors were greeted by the Junior Ibrida Q4, while inside the National Automobile Museum MAUTO the two icons – the original 33 Stradale and its modern counterpart – drew crowds. A highlight was the Tour d’Elégance parade, where the cars traveled from Moncalieri Castle through the hills to Revigliasco, met with applause and flashing cameras along the way.

Founded in 1933 by Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia, MAUTO provided the perfect setting for this dialogue across generations. Its collection of nearly two hundred vehicles from eighty brands spans steam-powered carriages to futuristic concepts. The temporary display of both Stradale models seamlessly enriched this panorama, underlining Italian design as a cultural legacy.

The 1967 model remains an object of admiration: only 18 units were built under Franco Scaglione’s design, with some chassis later used for visionary prototypes like the Carabo and Iguana. The new version follows that same spirit. Developed within the “Bottega Alfa Romeo,” where engineers, designers, and customers collaborated closely, the new 33 Stradale is limited to just 33 examples – all of which are already sold.

Its technical profile speaks volumes: a 630-horsepower twin-turbo V6, 0–100 km/h in under three seconds, and a top speed of 333 km/h. These figures were validated during tests at Nardò and Balocco. Conceived as an image project, the car has swiftly become a symbol of Alfa Romeo’s sporting essence, reinforcing the brand’s presence in the premium segment.

The Turin event demonstrated that combining heritage and innovation not only resonates with enthusiasts but also shapes a strategic future for the marque. Both MAUTO and the city reaffirmed their role as a capital of automotive culture, while Alfa Romeo confirmed its ability to turn legends into living parts of the present.
