2026 Mazda CX-70 with upgraded hybrid power and premium tech
Mazda introduces the 2026 CX-70 with expanded hybrid options, refined design, and enhanced safety features. The SUV starts at $42,250 in the U.S. market.
Mazda has unveiled the updated 2026 CX-70, a refined two-row SUV that blends the brand’s signature elegance with a growing focus on electrified performance. The latest version highlights Mazda’s evolving design language, featuring gloss-black emblems, dark accents, and a balance of strength and sophistication.
The CX-70 lineup offers three powertrains: two variants of the e-Skyactiv-G 3.3L Inline 6 Turbo with M-Hybrid Boost, and an e-Skyactiv PHEV. The plug-in hybrid now delivers an EPA-estimated 30 miles of all-electric range without sacrificing performance, producing a total of 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.
Across the range, Mazda has expanded standard features. The 3.3 Turbo Preferred trim adds ventilated front seats, heated rears, and a heated steering wheel, while Premium and Premium Plus trims bring towing mode, Bose premium audio, digital driver displays, and Nappa leather interiors. The new PHEV SC and SC Plus trims enhance comfort and safety with Secondary Collision Reduction and front parking sensors.
Technology plays a central role: a 12.3-inch Mazda Connect infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Alexa Built-in. Wireless charging, multiple USB-C ports, and a comprehensive i-Activsense suite contribute to a connected and secure driving experience.
All models come with i-Activ AWD, Kinematic Posture Control, and Mi-Drive modes—Sport, Off-Road, and Towing where applicable. Properly equipped, the CX-70 can tow up to 5,000 pounds, emphasizing its versatility for families and adventurers alike.
Pricing in the U.S. starts at $42,250 for the CX-70 3.3 Turbo Preferred and reaches $56,670 for the 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus. Production takes place at Mazda’s Hofu Plant in Japan, which manufactures all Large Platform vehicles.
The 2026 CX-70 embodies Mazda’s steady move toward electrification, aligning with its long-term plan to introduce eight hybrid and five fully electric models by 2030. It’s a clear signal that the brand intends to merge sustainability with the craftsmanship and driver-focused character that define Mazda.
