Bugatti launches Shanghai showroom, marking a milestone in China

Bugatti has opened its first dedicated showroom in Shanghai, deepening ties with China and showcasing the Divo as part of its expanding global vision.

Bugatti has opened its first dedicated showroom in mainland China, marking a significant milestone for the legendary French marque. After more than a century of turning automotive engineering into art, the brand now takes a confident step toward one of the world’s most dynamic and discerning markets.

The new Shanghai showroom was created in partnership with Kingsway Apex, Bugatti’s trusted distributor in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Located in the heart of the city, it was designed as an immersive space rather than a traditional retail venue — a place where heritage meets innovation. Inside, the interior follows Bugatti’s global design standards, featuring selected pieces from the Bugatti Home collection by Luxury Living Group, including the TYPE_3 sofa and TYPE_11 table, whose forms echo the brand’s unmistakable automotive lines.

The grand opening event drew collectors and media from across the region. The highlight was the first public appearance of the Bugatti Divo in mainland China — one of only 40 examples ever produced. This debut emphasized Bugatti’s commitment to showcasing its rarest and most exceptional creations to Chinese clients. Earlier this year, the country also hosted the debut of the Tourbillon, symbolizing the beginning of a new era under the Bugatti Rimac partnership.

Among the guests were Bugatti Rimac CEO Mate Rimac, Bugatti Managing Director Hendrik Malinowski, and Regional Director Kostas Psarris. They described Shanghai as the ideal setting for Bugatti’s first mainland showroom — a city where innovation naturally intertwines with tradition and culture.

China remains one of the brand’s strategic markets. Despite a cautious luxury climate, demand for hypercars continues to show resilience. The new Shanghai space stands as more than a showcase for the world’s most exclusive vehicles — it represents Bugatti’s evolving presence in a region where the pursuit of excellence aligns perfectly with its own philosophy.
