Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart welcomes its 14 millionth visitor, reflecting rising international interest and a record year for attendance in 2024.

On October 30, 2025, the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart celebrated a remarkable milestone — its 14 millionth visitor since opening in 2006. The honor went to Sebastian N. from Aspach, Germany, who came with his son Benedikt and friend Flynn during the autumn school holidays. For the two eight-year-olds, the visit had been on their wish list for a long time.

They were warmly welcomed by Museum Director Bettina Haussmann, who presented them with a small gift and invited them to take commemorative photos in two historic fire engines: the 1912 Benz motor fire truck and the Mercedes-Benz LF 3500 from the 1950s.

The milestone reflects a steady rise in the museum’s popularity. In 2024 alone, more than 882,000 people visited — the highest figure since its opening. The number of international guests continues to grow, with foreign visitors accounting for about two-thirds of all entries during the UEFA EURO 2024 summer months.

Among the highlights of the current program is the special exhibition Youngtimer, which runs from April 2025 to April 2026 and showcases vehicles from the 1990s and early 2000s, along with period objects and cultural memorabilia. The interactive “Boxenstopp” area also remains a favorite, allowing guests to experience the thrill of a Formula 1 pit stop firsthand.

With 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits spread across nine floors, the Mercedes-Benz Museum remains Stuttgart’s most visited cultural destination, according to the city’s tourism office. Every tenth visitor to the region includes it in their itinerary — drawn by icons such as the original 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the legendary 300 SL “Gullwing,” and the celebrated Silver Arrows racing cars.

Looking ahead, the museum continues to blend heritage with innovation. In partnership with Roarington AG, Mercedes-Benz Heritage has launched a “digital twin” project, bringing part of the museum’s experience into a virtual world and paving the way for new forms of exploration in the future.
