A century after the first Super Sports, Bentley presents the new Supersports in New York — the lightest, rear-wheel-drive Continental GT in the brand’s history.

A hundred years after the birth of the first Bentley Super Sports, the legendary name returns. Bentley has officially confirmed that the new Supersports will debut in New York on November 13, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. local time (01:30 GMT on November 14). It will be the fourth model in Bentley’s history to carry this name, but the first with rear-wheel drive — a clear statement of intent to deliver a purer, more engaging driving experience.

Bentley notes that the new Supersports will be the lightest car of the brand’s modern era. While power figures and exact specifications remain undisclosed, more details will be revealed at the premiere. Like its 2009 and 2017 predecessors, the new edition maintains the spirit of rarity and engineering excellence, this time focused on reduced weight and direct response.

It is fitting that the revival of the Supersports coincides with the centenary of the original model. Back in 1925, the Super Sports name marked a Bentley built for speed and endurance. The modern interpretation pays homage to that heritage while looking ahead — it is likely to be one of the brand’s final high-performance petrol cars before Bentley transitions to an all-electric lineup by 2035 under the Beyond100+ strategy.

Observers see the new Supersports as a symbolic farewell to Bentley’s traditional power-driven philosophy — a last celebration of uncompromising performance wrapped in a Grand Tourer’s form. In many ways, it bridges the company’s heroic past and its electric future.
