Endesa integrates 167 Skoda Enyaq 85x EVs into its fleet
Endesa’s 2024 update adds 167 Skoda Enyaq 85x electric vehicles to its fleet, highlighting sustainable mobility goals and the company’s largest EV incorporation.
Spain’s energy company Endesa has taken another decisive step toward a fully electric corporate fleet, adding 167 units of the Škoda Enyaq 85x in 2024. This delivery represents the largest electric-vehicle fleet that Škoda has supplied in Spain and allows Endesa to double the number of fully electric cars in its operations within a single year.
As part of its broader sustainability strategy, Endesa aims for 70 percent of its corporate fleet to consist of eco-friendly vehicles by the end of 2024. The newly delivered Enyaq models will support various business areas across the country, including teams working in remote or hard-to-reach locations. Available information also indicates that a portion of the vehicles has been allocated to regions such as the Canary Islands.
The Enyaq 85x was selected through a public tender in which full-wheel drive, a WLTP range of more than 500 kilometres, and overall day-to-day practicality were decisive factors. The transition to electric mobility also reflects Endesa’s long-term economic considerations, as the company notes that the operating costs of electric vehicles are significantly lower than those of combustion models.
The fleet incorporation was made possible through a 48-month renting contract arranged via Ayvens, enabling Endesa to update its vehicles efficiently and maintain flexibility during its shift toward sustainable mobility.
For Škoda, this contract strengthens its position in Spain’s fleet sector and highlights rising business interest in clean mobility solutions. It marks the brand’s largest electric-vehicle fleet delivery in the country and reinforces the Enyaq’s role within corporate fleets.
As Endesa pursues its goal of achieving a fully electric fleet by 2030, the company already reports substantial progress: according to its own data, emissions associated with its vehicles have been reduced by half since 2009. The latest delivery of Enyaq vehicles builds on this momentum, giving more employees everyday access to electric-vehicle driving and further advancing the company’s sustainability targets.
