Polestar introduces the Ladebonus program with free public charging or a home wallbox for Polestar 3 and 4 buyers, as reported by the company in Germany.

Polestar is making the transition to electric mobility noticeably easier for customers in Germany. The company has launched the “Ladebonus” program, giving buyers of the Polestar 3 or Polestar 4 a choice between two benefits: one year of free public charging through Polestar Charge, or a complimentary home charging solution with the Zaptec Go 2 wallbox, including a €1,000 installation voucher. The offer directly addresses a concern frequently raised by prospective EV owners — the practical availability and convenience of charging.

Polestar highlights that uncertainty around charging infrastructure remains a significant factor in the purchase decision. With the new bonus, customers can either rely on broad access to the Polestar Charge network or secure a complete home-charging setup. The public-charging voucher corresponds to €2,000 based on typical annual mileage and average electricity prices, and must be activated within 60 days; once activated, it remains valid for two years.

The Polestar Charge network continues to expand. In Germany, it includes stations from major operators such as IONITY, Allego, Fastned, TotalEnergies, Aral Pulse and Shell. Across Europe, the service offers access to more than one million charging points, strengthening the appeal of the free-charging option. The home-charging solution, the Zaptec Go 2 unit, is installed by partner e-mobilio, with any additional electrical-infrastructure-related costs covered by the customer.

Demand for the brand has been rising as well. Between January and October 2025, Polestar registrations in Germany increased by nearly 45 percent compared with the same period the year before. Against this backdrop, the new Ladebonus program may reinforce the company’s position among buyers seeking lower ownership costs and greater confidence in the everyday usability of electric driving.
