McLaren Special Operations has unveiled Project Viva, a one-of-one McLaren 750S Spider revealed ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The bespoke commission transforms the car into a monochrome reinterpretation of the city’s visual identity, replacing expected neon colours with the hand-painted “Sketch in Motion” livery inspired by Las Vegas’ rhythm, architecture and atmosphere.

The project highlights MSO’s approach to turning creative inspiration into craftsmanship. Special paints play a central role in the visual narrative: Muriwai White references McLaren heritage, while the deep black shade named Vegas Nights—developed exclusively for this commission—features subtle flecks of cyan, magenta and green to evoke the city after dark. Each element is hand-applied, and the surface incorporates subtle references to McLaren’s racing history and brand legacy.

A notable contribution comes from McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who added their own hand-drawn details to the car. Among them is the tenth Constructors’ Championship star placed on the rear bumper, marking McLaren Racing’s recent milestone and underlining the strong link between the brand’s design philosophy and its competitive achievements.

Technically, Project Viva is based on the McLaren 750S Spider equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 delivering 750 PS and around 800 Nm of torque, ensuring that the artistic concept does not diminish the underlying performance capability.

The car is on display at the McLaren Experience Centre within the Wynn Las Vegas hotel from 13 to 20 November before being delivered to its new owner. Details about the client, pricing or future use of the vehicle have not been disclosed.
