The all-electric Porsche Cayenne marks a pivotal moment for the brand, introducing a new chapter in one of its most important segments. Porsche brings two versions to the market — the Cayenne Electric and the more powerful Cayenne Turbo Electric — both built on an 800-volt architecture and equipped with all-wheel drive, preserving the dynamic character that has defined the Cayenne since its first generation in 2002.

The performance of the Turbo variant stands out even among high-end sports cars: it delivers up to 850 kW with Launch Control activated and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2.5 seconds. The entry model offers up to 300 kW in normal driving mode and reaches 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. Both versions use a 113 kWh battery that enables a WLTP range of up to 642 kilometers.

Charging technology plays a central role in the new model. Thanks to its 800-volt system, the Cayenne Electric can accept up to 390–400 kW at high-power charging stations, allowing the battery to go from 10 to 80 percent in under 16 minutes. For everyday use, Porsche also offers inductive charging at up to 11 kW — the first time the brand has introduced this technology.

The Cayenne Electric integrates motorsport-derived solutions as well. Its recuperation system reaches up to 600 kW, a level comparable to Formula E. Up to 97 percent of braking operations can be carried out solely by the electric motors, reducing wear on the mechanical braking system.

The interior represents one of the most advanced digital environments Porsche has created. The model features the largest display area ever installed in a Porsche, including a curved OLED central screen, an available passenger display and an optional AR head-up display.

Production of the new Cayenne Electric takes place in Bratislava, Slovakia, at one of Volkswagen Group’s key PPE facilities. According to German sources, market launch is expected toward the end of 2025, while pricing has not yet been officially confirmed. Analysts in Germany note that the cost may be comparable to high-end combustion versions, around 100,000 euros.

Although full-scale customer reviews are not yet available, Porsche reports extensive testing of prototype vehicles in extreme climates — from Scandinavian winter conditions to the heat of the Dubai desert. The brand positions the all-electric Cayenne as the next significant step in its electrification strategy, complementing rather than replacing the existing combustion and hybrid variants.
