Audi integrates Disney+ and appears in the film TRON: Ares
Audi introduces Disney+ in selected models and appears in the film TRON: Ares, according to the company, offering insight into the partnership and its scope.
Audi is expanding its digital services by bringing Disney+ directly into its vehicles while simultaneously appearing in the new film “TRON: Ares.” The initiative highlights the growing role of multimedia platforms in the automotive sector, where manufacturers aim to transform in-car time into a fully immersive entertainment space.
Owners of the Audi A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron can now access Disney+ through the integrated Audi Application Store. The app can be installed directly in the vehicle by logging in with an existing Disney+ account. The system requires an active data connection and a myAudi profile. Content can be viewed on the central MMI display while parked or on the optional passenger screen during a drive. The rollout spans 43 markets, including regions across Europe, parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the United States, though Audi does not provide the full list of countries.
The collaboration also extends to the cinema. In “TRON: Ares,” released in theaters in October 2025, two Audi models appear on screen. Ajay Singh, played by Hasan Minhaj, is seen driving an Audi Q8 e-tron, while the character Seth, portrayed by Arturo Castro, uses a specially created “Audi quattro Rallye” inspired by the brand’s historic rally heritage. Audi has not disclosed the amount of screen time or details of the placement agreement.
Audi emphasizes that its partnership with Disney supports the brand’s goal of combining technology with emotionally engaging user experiences. The integration of Disney+ aligns with this vision by expanding in-car entertainment options and reinforcing the vehicle interior as a digital living space.
There is no publicly available information on future planned features—such as additional streaming services—or on broader market reactions to the introduction. Still, the joint appearance of Audi vehicles in a major film franchise, paired with the integration of a global streaming platform, reflects a wider shift toward cars becoming connected multimedia environments rather than solely modes of transportation.
