Audi announced updates for five model lines, bringing new assistance features, lighting technology and digital upgrades across the PPE and PPC platforms.

Audi is rolling out one of its most comprehensive multi-model updates in recent years, enhancing five key series — the A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron — with hardware and software upgrades across two major platforms. The initiative strengthens both the electric PPE architecture and the modernized PPC platform for combustion models, ensuring long-term relevance through continuous functionality improvements.

The brand places particular emphasis on a more engaging driving experience. The new Dynamic Plus mode for the S5 and S6 e-tron introduces a rear-biased setup and a more permissive stability program that enables controlled oversteer. Combined with the quattro sport differential on the S5 and the electric quattro system on the S6 e-tron, the mode underscores the performance character of these models.

Electric vehicles on the PPE platform receive further refinements: recuperation has been improved to the point where the car can decelerate smoothly to a complete stop without switching to conventional friction brakes, increasing comfort and overall efficiency.

Driver assistance systems also advance significantly. In several markets, the updated adaptive cruise assist now supports lane changes initiated by the driver via the turn signal. Traffic sign recognition has been expanded to include stop signs, uneven-road warnings and right-of-way rules, allowing the vehicle to reduce speed automatically. The optional park assist pro suite gains three key functions: reverse assist reproduces the last 50 meters when backing up, maneuver assist helps avoid minor collisions in tight spaces, and trained parking can store up to five parking maneuvers of up to 200 meters each for autonomous execution on private property. A new smartphone-based garage parking feature adds further convenience.

The A6 range benefits from new digital matrix LED headlights and digital OLED 2.0 taillights. Micro-LED technology enables high-resolution lighting functions, including lane guidance projections, directional cues and warnings for potential icy conditions. The rear lights offer customizable digital signatures with dynamic animations.

Inside the cabin, drivers will notice a new multifunction steering wheel and the return of physical controls in place of some touch-sensitive elements. The user interface becomes cleaner and more intuitive, while smartphone content can now be mirrored not only to the central MMI screen but also to the virtual cockpit and the passenger display.

The updated Audi assistant — built on the E3 1.2 electronics architecture and integrated with ChatGPT — expands voice-controlled functionality. It can answer detailed questions about vehicle status, assist with destination search using descriptive queries and support in-car office use by reading or composing emails.

A newly integrated 4K dashcam adds another layer of practicality. Mounted at the base of the interior mirror, it records in 4K with HDR and a light-sensitive sensor. Footage is stored locally on an SD card, and the event mode automatically saves 30 seconds before and after a triggered incident.

New interior “experience worlds” offer short mood scenarios — Activating, Relaxing and Harmonizing — combining lighting, sound, climate control and seat massage. Electric models add a Power Nap mode designed for rest during charging stops.

The infotainment system also gains entertainment upgrades: through the Audi Application Store, the AirConsole gaming platform becomes available on the updated models. Passengers can play games using Bluetooth controllers and wireless headphones, with content displayed on the passenger screen in privacy mode.

For the German market, ordering for PPC-based models begins in calendar week 48, while PPE-based models follow in week 49. Content and timing may vary in other regions, but the direction is clear: Audi is aligning both its combustion and electric platforms with a shared technological baseline that strengthens the brand’s strategy for the years ahead.
