Opel introduces its fastest production electric model to date, the Mokka GSE, bringing a distinct motorsport flavour to the road. The car borrows several core components from the Mokka GSE Rally prototype, allowing a noticeable transfer of rally characteristics into everyday driving.

Its electric motor delivers 207 kW (281 hp) and 345 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h, making it the quickest all-electric Opel currently on sale. A 54 kWh battery supports three driving modes, from the efficiency-focused Eco to the sharper and more responsive Sport setting.

A number of engineering features underline its performance ambitions. The front Torsen limited-slip differential, reinforced axles and specially tuned hydraulic dampers contribute to improved stability during rapid directional changes. Large four-piston brakes at the front ensure strong and consistent stopping power. According to German test drives, the steering has become significantly more direct, while the behaviour in Sport mode resembles that of a compact hot hatch.

The interior mirrors this approach: Alcantara performance seats with integrated headrests, a steering wheel with flattened sections and a digital cluster capable of displaying G-forces, acceleration data and battery information. At the same time, practical qualities remain familiar, with a 310-litre boot and a comprehensive safety package that includes Intelli-Lux and the full suite of driver assistance systems.

Real-world figures reported by journalists show consumption around 20–21 kWh per 100 kilometres, translating into approximately 250 to 300 kilometres of typical driving range. Fast charging to 80 percent takes a little over 25 minutes, while an 11 kW AC charge requires roughly five and a half hours. Within the rapidly growing field of sporty compact electric crossovers, the Mokka GSE stands out thanks to its rally-derived engineering, even if its 400-volt platform limits charging speed and range compared with newer rivals.

The model is already available to order in Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with German dealers expecting first deliveries from December 2025. In Germany, pricing starts at €47,300, and most equipment is included as standard, leaving only a handful of additional options.

Ultimately, the Mokka GSE positions itself as more than a performance-flavoured trim. It showcases Opel’s effort to integrate rally know-how into an accessible electric model, combining sharp handling and strong acceleration with the everyday usability expected from a compact crossover.
