Dongfeng Nissan has introduced the updated Teana in China, marking the world’s first internal combustion vehicle to feature Huawei’s HarmonySpace5.0 system as standard across all trims. The debut took place at the Guangzhou Motor Show on November 21, 2025, underscoring Nissan’s intention to strengthen its presence in the world’s most competitive automotive market.

The HarmonySpace5.0 cockpit, developed by Huawei on the foundation of the HarmonyOS architecture, becomes the centerpiece of the model’s digital environment. A large 15.6-inch intelligent display, a polished interface, and high-precision voice control create a cabin that functions much like an on-the-move smart space. The system supports over-the-air updates and seamless connectivity with Huawei smartphones, positioning the Teana as one of the most technologically advanced sedans in its class.

Beyond software, the Teana brings a refined exterior. Its elongated silhouette is emphasized by the signature “star ring” LED light strip stretching from the front grille to the headlights, while the twin-projector LED lamps illuminate up to 230 meters — among the best figures in the segment. Inside, about 90% of the surfaces are covered with soft-touch materials, complemented by ambient lighting offering up to 256 color settings.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine delivering 243 PS and 371 Nm of torque. Known for its variable compression ratio technology, the engine is paired with a CVT, providing strong performance under various driving conditions. The model is equipped with Level 2 driver-assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, and a 360-degree camera suite.

The audio experience also stands out. The Teana features HUAWEI SOUND with 15 speakers as standard or 17 speakers in the top grade. All four doors come with double-layer acoustic glass, and combined with extensive sound-insulation materials, the cabin delivers a level of quietness often compared to a theater-like environment.

The model enters the Chinese market with pricing ranging from 139,900 to 167,900 RMB, with an introductory offer starting at 129,900 RMB. Positioned against models such as the Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Passat, the Teana leans on its blend of advanced digital features and comfort. Analysts have noted that the launch reflects the growing strategic alignment between Dongfeng, Nissan, and Huawei, showcasing how traditional gasoline sedans can gain renewed relevance through modern in-car technologies.
