Porsche Classic reissues Pepita, Pascha and tartan
Porsche Classic has reissued Pepita, Pascha/Pasha and tartan fabrics for classic interior restorations. See patterns, parts and ordering details.
Porsche Classic is bringing back some of its most iconic interior fabrics—Pepita, Pasha/Pascha, tartan and more—reissued in Porsche quality for owners who care about getting the details right.
The company’s point is simple: the Porsche legend isn’t built on exterior design alone. Patterns such as Pepita and Pasha have long been part of what makes a classic Porsche feel authentic from the driver’s seat. With the reissue, interiors in many historic and more recent sports cars—from the 356 and early 911 through later classics—can be restored closer to their original specification, with the Technical Certificate serving as a reference for period-correct trim.
Porsche also draws a clear line against the imitation market. The newly reissued textiles are sold as Porsche Genuine Parts and are described as a tested original alternative—materials intended for real upholstery work rather than decorative lookalikes. They undergo checks for properties relevant to an automotive interior, including fire resistance as well as light and colour fastness and abrasion resistance.
Practicality matters, too. The fabrics are supplied in 2 × 1.5 metre pieces, suitable for uses such as seat covers and side panels. Porsche notes that restorations often involve replacing only one seat, so matching patterns and colours accurately is crucial if the passenger seat still wears its original covering.
To reproduce complex patterns faithfully, Porsche leaned heavily on its archives and even tracked down rare reference items. One example described by the team is an unused 1975 911 seat upholstered in green tartan—kept in darkness and therefore remarkably preserved—used to help validate the reissue.
The textiles can be ordered via Porsche Centres or through the Porsche Online Shop. Online listings in some countries already show pricing, and the numbers vary by market. For instance, Pepita black/white (PCG551531AS730) appears at €282 in Germany and £290 in the UK; Pepita red (PCG551531AS005) appears at €287 in Latvia; and a Porsche lettering fabric in black (PCG043204902CZ) appears at €316 in Germany. Some items are marked as “available soon,” suggesting availability will broaden as more variants arrive—especially since Porsche has already said additional colours are planned, including the well-known orange “lobster” pinstripes.
For the classic Porsche world, the move is more than nostalgia. As demand for accurate, period-correct restorations keeps growing, factory-grade textiles—down to the exact weave and pattern geometry—are becoming as important to authenticity as the mechanical parts beneath them.
