New Volkswagen T-Roc Receives Five-Star Rating from Euro NCAP
Euro NCAP awarded the new Volkswagen T-Roc five stars in 2025 safety tests. Learn how the compact SUV performed across key protection categories.
The new Volkswagen T-Roc has achieved the highest possible rating of five stars in the 2025 Euro NCAP safety tests, confirming the model’s strong overall safety performance under the programme’s updated and more demanding assessment criteria.
The compact SUV delivered balanced results across all key evaluation areas. Adult occupant protection reached 91 %, while child occupant protection was rated at 87 %. The same score was recorded for the protection of vulnerable road users, including pedestrians and cyclists. In the Safety Assist category, which focuses on accident prevention technologies, the T-Roc achieved 77 %.
Active safety systems played a particularly important role in the latest Euro NCAP test cycle. The five-star result was supported by the T-Roc’s extensive standard equipment, which includes autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assistance, driver attention monitoring, cross-traffic assist and an exit warning system.
The result forms part of a broader picture for Volkswagen in 2025. Earlier in the year, the Tayron also received a five-star rating, while re-assessments of the Golf, ID.3 and ID.4 confirmed that these models continue to meet five-star safety standards following ongoing system updates. Together, these outcomes reflect Volkswagen’s “safety4all” approach, which focuses on making advanced safety technologies available across high-volume model ranges.
As an independent European organisation, Euro NCAP regularly tightens its test procedures to reflect evolving safety expectations. Against this background, the new T-Roc’s performance indicates that the model is well aligned with current European safety benchmarks and remains competitive within the compact SUV segment.
