Hyundai ELANTRA N TCR Debuts in Gran Turismo 7

Hyundai Motor announced the ELANTRA N TCR will be added to Gran Turismo 7 in the January 2026 update, marking ten years of Hyundai N and its partnership with Polyphony Digital.

Hyundai Motor is strengthening its presence in digital motorsport as the ELANTRA N TCR is set to join Gran Turismo 7. The announcement was made during the Gran Turismo World Series 2025 World Final in Fukuoka and marks two milestones at once: the tenth anniversary of the Hyundai N brand and a decade-long partnership with Polyphony Digital, the creator of the Gran Turismo franchise.

The car will appear in the game under the name ELANTRA N TC as part of the January 2026 update. For Hyundai, this is more than a virtual debut. It reflects a broader strategy of translating real-world motorsport success into an authentic digital racing experience.

The choice of the ELANTRA N TCR is no coincidence. The touring car has established itself as one of the most successful contenders in its category, securing five consecutive class victories at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring between 2021 and 2025. In several editions, Hyundai cars even occupied multiple top positions within the TCR class, reinforcing the model’s reputation for endurance and consistency.

Hyundai’s competitive credentials are further underlined by its achievements in international TCR competition. In 2023 and 2024, driver Norbert Michelisz claimed the FIA TCR World Tour Drivers’ title with Hyundai machinery, positioning the brand among the leading forces in global touring car racing. These results form an important backdrop to the car’s inclusion in Gran Turismo 7.

The January update will offer more than just a new race car. Players will also gain access to a Hyundai N–themed menu at GT Café and expanded content within the Hyundai Museum at Brand Central, allowing them to explore the performance brand’s history and philosophy alongside its virtual vehicles.

The timing is symbolic. Ten years ago, Hyundai entered the Gran Turismo universe with the unveiling of the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. What began as a futuristic digital concept has since evolved into a full performance lineup, now firmly rooted in both real-world motorsport and interactive racing simulations.

The arrival of the ELANTRA N TCR in Gran Turismo 7 highlights how closely real and virtual motorsport have become intertwined. For Hyundai N, it is a way to engage a new generation of enthusiasts; for players, it is an opportunity to experience a touring car whose credentials are proven not only on screen, but on some of the world’s most demanding circuits.
