Volkswagen has announced Emily Cox as its new brand ambassador, marking a partnership built around shared values such as approachability, authenticity, and a down-to-earth attitude. According to the brand, these qualities reflect Volkswagen’s long-standing image as a manufacturer closely connected to everyday life and family mobility.

As part of the collaboration, Emily Cox will represent the brand while driving the Volkswagen Tayron in her daily routine. The SUV plays a key role in Volkswagen’s current model range, positioned between the Tiguan and the Touareg. Designed with families in mind, the Tayron offers a spacious interior, an optional third row with up to seven seats, and a luggage compartment that can reach up to 885 litres, depending on configuration.

The actress herself highlights a personal connection to the brand. Volkswagen, she recalls, was already part of her childhood, as her family’s first car was a Golf. Today, as a mother who frequently travels between Vienna, Berlin, and various filming locations, she places particular value on safety, space, and comfort — factors she associates with the Tayron.

Emily Cox’s appointment as brand ambassador coincides with a significant moment in her professional career. From December 25, she appears in a leading role in “The Physician 2”, which has been released in German cinemas. The film continues the story of Rob Cole, now set in 11th-century London, and follows the internationally successful 2013 production. Its world premiere took place on December 15 in Cologne, with filming carried out in Hungary, Cologne, and Berlin.

For Volkswagen, the collaboration fits into a broader communication strategy focused on relatable personalities and real-life usage rather than abstract brand imagery. By partnering with Emily Cox, the company aims to underline its role as a brand that has accompanied families for generations — a role now reflected through the everyday experiences of its new ambassador.
