Nissan Motor Co. reports global production, sales and export results for November 2025, highlighting regional declines and growth trends across key markets.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has released its official production, sales, and export figures for November 2025, showing an overall year-on-year decline across key indicators, alongside clear differences between regions.

Global production totaled 257,008 vehicles in November, down 4.2% compared with the same month last year. The main drag came from Japan, where output fell sharply by 31.6%. This decline was partly offset by overseas plants, where production rose 3.9% year on year.

Outside Japan, production growth was led by China, which recorded a 22% increase, followed by the United Kingdom (+18%) and the United States (+7.1%). Mexico, however, posted a double-digit decline. For the January–November period, Nissan’s global production reached 2.71 million vehicles, down 6.8% from a year earlier.

Sales followed a similar pattern. Nissan sold 265,067 vehicles worldwide in November, a 4.9% decrease year on year. Japan remained the weakest market: total sales including minivehicles fell 26.5%, with registered vehicle sales dropping sharply by 39.5%. Minivehicle sales declined more moderately.

Outside Japan, sales proved more resilient, edging down just 1.5%. China stood out again, posting a 10.3% increase compared with November 2024. North America as a whole recorded a 5.6% decline.

Exports from Japan totaled 26,894 vehicles in November, down 25.1% year on year. Shipments to Europe fell by more than 30%, while exports to North America rose on a monthly basis despite remaining significantly lower over the January–November period.

Nissan also noted that some changes in the data reflect adjustments to its business structure. Following the sale of its stake in the Indian joint venture with Renault, the figures now include only Nissan-produced vehicles, affecting year-on-year comparability in certain markets.

The November results highlight the challenges Nissan continues to face, particularly in Japan and in exports from its home market, while relying increasingly on growth in China and selected overseas regions. How effectively the company can sustain momentum outside Japan and stabilize domestic performance will be a key factor as the year draws to a close.
