David Guetta and Porsche Showcase Electric Innovation at Dubai Solar Park
Explore Porsche’s electrifying campaign with David Guetta at Dubai’s solar park, featuring the Macan Turbo Electric and Taycan Turbo GT. Watch the full story.
Porsche Middle East and Africa has unveiled its latest campaign, "Speed of Light", featuring world-renowned DJ and music producer David Guetta. The project was filmed at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai — the world’s largest single-site solar park and a powerful symbol of the region’s sustainable ambitions.
The spectacle combined music, light, and electric sports cars. Set to the Future Rave remix of Guetta’s hit “Titanium” — produced by Guetta and MORTEN — the performance was accompanied by a stunning laser show. The 263-meter solar power tower, the tallest of its kind, was transformed into Guetta’s temporary DJ booth, rising above one of the largest solar installations on the planet.
Taking center stage were two of Porsche’s latest electric flagships: the Macan Turbo Electric and the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package. These models showcase Porsche’s technological edge and commitment to electrification. The Macan Turbo Electric delivers up to 639 hp and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, while offering everyday usability. Meanwhile, the Taycan Turbo GT — Porsche’s most powerful production car to date — exceeds 1,100 hp with the Weissach package. It recently set a new record for electric vehicles at Brazil’s Interlagos Circuit. The lap time of 1 minute 42.1 seconds was achieved by three-time IMSA champion Felipe Nasr, who drove the Taycan GT, improving the previous Taycan Turbo S record by eight seconds.
Beyond its visual and technical impact, the campaign underscores Porsche’s strategic focus on sustainability. The solar park — operated by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) — aims to power nearly two million homes and reduce CO₂ emissions by over eight million tons annually by 2030. With support from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and DEWA, the project aligns Porsche’s electric future with Dubai’s renewable energy leadership.
Guetta described the collaboration as a childhood dream come true, emphasizing how Porsche, like his music, represents emotion, performance, and pushing boundaries. He said the project was truly inspiring to be part of.
The main campaign film is accompanied by three behind-the-scenes episodes that offer a closer look at the futuristic location, the production process, and the creative synergy with Guetta. All content is available on the Porsche Newsroom platform and across the brand’s social media channels.
