Skoda Announces Peaq as Name of Its New Electric Flagship SUV
Skoda has announced Peaq as the name of its new flagship electric SUV based on the Vision 7S concept. Learn what this model represents ahead of its 2026 debut.
Skoda has revealed the name of its new flagship electric vehicle. The large seven-seat SUV, previously known as the production version of the Vision 7S concept, will enter the market as Skoda Peaq and will become the biggest model in the brand’s history.
The new Peaq will sit at the very top of Skoda’s model range, both in terms of size and positioning. Built on the MEB electric platform, it will surpass the Enyaq and Kodiaq, securing its role as the brand’s flagship SUV. The model is based on the Vision 7S study, a seven-seat family SUV measuring more than five metres in length.
Peaq will also be the first production Skoda to fully adopt the brand’s Modern Solid design language. This approach combines robust shapes, functional design and visual clarity, underlining the vehicle’s practicality and status. The Vision 7S concept served as the starting point for this new design direction, and Peaq brings it into series production.
The model’s name underlines its positioning. Derived from the English word peak, it symbolises the top of the range and clearly marks the SUV as Skoda’s flagship. At the same time, it continues the brand’s tradition of SUV model names ending with the letter Q.
According to Skoda, the Vision 7S project marked a move into new territory, not only in terms of electrification but also in redefining the brand’s identity. With Peaq, Skoda aims to elevate its core values of spaciousness and practicality to a new level in the electric era.
The world debut of the Skoda Peaq is scheduled for 2026. Technical specifications of the production model have not yet been announced. However, the Vision 7S concept featured an 89 kWh battery, a driving range of more than 600 km (WLTP) and fast-charging capability of up to 200 kW. It remains to be seen how closely these figures will be reflected in the final production version.
