SEAT & CUPRA reported record 2025 sales, driven by CUPRA growth and rising electric vehicle deliveries. Explore key results, markets and production highlights.

SEAT & CUPRA closed 2025 with a new all-time sales record, delivering 586,300 vehicles worldwide. This represents a 5.1% increase compared with 2024 and exceeds the previous peak set in 2019, a notable achievement given the ongoing challenges facing the global automotive industry.

CUPRA emerged as the main growth engine of the group. The brand reached record deliveries of 328,800 vehicles, up 32.5% year on year, and surpassed the milestone of one million cars sold since its launch. The CUPRA Formentor remained the brand’s best-selling model, while the Terramar completed its first full year on the market with solid results. Fully electric models played an increasingly important role: the Born and the Tavascan helped BEVs account for almost a quarter of CUPRA’s total sales, highlighting the brand’s accelerating shift towards electrification.

SEAT, meanwhile, delivered 257,400 vehicles in 2025, reflecting a year-on-year decline. Despite this contraction, the year marked a turning point for the brand. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, SEAT unveiled the refreshed Ibiza and Arona and outlined a clear future roadmap focused on accessible mobility and readiness for upcoming regulatory and market changes.

From a regional perspective, Germany consolidated its position as the largest market for SEAT & CUPRA, with 156,200 vehicles delivered. Spain retained second place, while the United Kingdom remained among the top three markets despite a year-on-year decrease. For CUPRA in particular, strong growth in Germany, the UK, France and Italy pushed its European market share to 2.22%, bringing the brand closer to its stated 3% target.

Electrification continued to gain momentum across the group. In 2025, SEAT & CUPRA delivered 84,400 plug-in hybrid vehicles and 79,700 battery-electric vehicles, both posting strong double-digit growth. These figures underline not only rising customer demand but also the company’s strategic commitment to expanding its electrified portfolio.

On the industrial side, global production increased slightly to 584,693 vehicles despite the temporary closure of one production line at the Martorell plant for electrification upgrades. During the year, SEAT & CUPRA opened a new battery system assembly plant at the site, a key step in preparing for the Electric Urban Car family. From 2026 onwards, Martorell is set to become a central hub for compact electric vehicles within the Volkswagen Group, including the CUPRA Raval, strengthening Spain’s role in Europe’s electromobility landscape.

Taken together, the 2025 results show that SEAT & CUPRA not only navigated a difficult market environment successfully, but also laid the groundwork for the next phase of development, with CUPRA’s growth and accelerated electrification shaping the company’s future direction.
