Mercedes-Benz Classic presents its 1000 Miglia programme and Classic Partner expansion at Retromobile 2026, as reported by Mercedes-Benz Heritage GmbH.

Mercedes-Benz Classic is opening 2026 with a major appearance at Rétromobile in Paris, placing the legendary 1000 Miglia at the centre of its presentation while also highlighting the continued expansion of its service and partner ecosystem across Europe. The show will run from 28 January to 1 February 2026 and forms part of the brand’s programme marking 140 years since the invention of the automobile.

The 1000 Miglia serves as the central theme of the Mercedes-Benz Classic stand. Originally held as a long-distance road race between 1927 and 1957, the event now takes place as a regularity rally and remains one of the most prestigious fixtures on the international classic-car calendar. Mercedes-Benz Classic is the Premium Automotive Partner of the 1000 Miglia 2026, scheduled for 9–13 June with its traditional start and finish in Brescia.

At Rétromobile, three Mercedes-Benz classics from the 1950s will be offered for sale, each with a guaranteed starting position in the 1000 Miglia 2026. The cars include a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 220 “Ponton” and a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL. For buyers, the package represents a rare opportunity to take part in the event as part of the Mercedes-Benz Classic works team.

The historical background of the Mille Miglia is underlined by the presence of a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR from the company’s own collection. It recalls the famous victory of Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson in 1955, achieved in record time, and reflects one of the most successful chapters in the brand’s motorsport history, alongside Mercedes-Benz’s overall win in the 1931 edition of the race.

Another highlight is the “417 Legacy Edition” driving simulator, developed jointly with Roarington. Produced in a strictly limited series, the simulator recreates the class-winning Mercedes-Benz 300 SL that competed in the 1955 Mille Miglia with starting number 417, combining historical accuracy with contemporary simulation technology.

Also available for purchase is a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster presented in barn-find condition. Discovered in the United States and retaining its original patina and matching numbers, the unrestored roadster is positioned as an ideal candidate for a factory restoration by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center.

Beyond vehicles and motorsport heritage, Mercedes-Benz Classic is using Rétromobile 2026 to announce the launch of its Classic Partner network in France. The first French partners are SAGA Classic locations in La Roche-sur-Yon, Les Ulis and Lille. They join an international network that now comprises around 80 Classic Partners in 17 countries, all operating according to manufacturer standards for the care of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

The Paris presentation is rounded out by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Genuine Parts programme, which currently includes more than 160,000 original parts, and by the Manufacturer Expertise service, offering factory-backed assessments of originality and authenticity for historically significant vehicles.

Taken together, the Rétromobile 2026 appearance shows how Mercedes-Benz Classic is linking its racing heritage, exclusive customer offerings and expanding service infrastructure. In a year dedicated to the origins of the automobile, the brand positions its classic activities not only as a celebration of the past, but also as a structured, forward-looking commitment to preserving automotive history.
