Bugatti has presented the F.K.P. Hommage, a one-off creation honoring the Veyron and Ferdinand Karl Piëch, developed under the exclusive Programme Solitaire.

Bugatti has unveiled the F.K.P. Hommage, a unique one-off creation that pays tribute not only to the legendary Veyron but also to the visionary engineer who made it possible. Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, the driving force behind Bugatti’s revival within the Volkswagen Group, stands at the heart of this project, developed under the exclusive Programme Solitaire.

The story of the Veyron began long before its arrival in Molsheim. In the late 1990s, Piëch conceived the idea of an unconventional W-engine architecture, which would later become the technical foundation of one of the most radical production cars ever built. The Veyron did more than set records — it defined a new hyper-GT category by combining extreme power, a top speed beyond 400 km/h, and a level of comfort previously unheard of in such machines.

The F.K.P. Hommage builds on this legacy while reinterpreting it through two decades of engineering progress. The car is based on the most advanced evolution of the W16 platform, as used in the Chiron Super Sport. This powertrain represents the pinnacle of the quad-turbo W16 era and, at the same time, marks the closing chapter of a defining period in Bugatti’s engineering history.

Visually, the Hommage retains the key proportions of the original Veyron, including its leaning-back stance and calm, self-assured surface language. At the same time, every panel has been reworked. The three-dimensional horseshoe grille now flows seamlessly into the bodywork, enlarged air intakes reflect the increased cooling demands, and updated wheel dimensions are paired with the latest Michelin tire technology. Advanced multi-layer paint finishes and tinted exposed carbon fiber further highlight the technological distance between the early 2000s original and today’s execution.

The interior marks one of the most radical departures from recent W16 models. A circular steering wheel inspired by the original Veyron is paired with a completely redesigned center console machined from solid aluminum. New Car Couture fabrics, previously introduced by Bugatti in other projects, replace the traditional leather-only approach. At the center of the dashboard sits an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon, mechanically integrated into the car and powered by its motion, reflecting the project’s uncompromising engineering philosophy.

The F.K.P. Hommage is the second creation of Programme Solitaire, Bugatti’s initiative dedicated to producing no more than two fully bespoke vehicles per year. Following Brouillard, the project once again demonstrates the brand’s commitment to deep personalization and to reinterpreting its heritage through contemporary technology rather than simple retrospection.

The F.K.P. Hommage will be physically unveiled in Paris at the Rétromobile show at the end of January 2026. For Bugatti, the car represents more than a commemorative gesture — it is a convergence point where the legacy of the Veyron, the end of the W16 era, and the brand’s next chapter come together.
