The Vauxhall Grandland has been named Medium Car of the Year at the Company Car & Van Awards, reinforcing its position as a well-rounded option for company car drivers and fleet operators. The judges highlighted the model’s blend of practicality, equipment levels and a broad electrified line-up tailored to business use.

The Company Car & Van Awards focus on vehicles that deliver strong value, everyday usability and efficiency for corporate users. Within this framework, the Grandland stood out as a versatile choice, combining generous interior space with competitive running costs and a range of electrified powertrains.

According to Company Car & Van editor Andrew Walker, the Grandland proved to be one of the biggest surprises of the past year. He pointed to its ability to comfortably accommodate five occupants and their luggage, while remaining attractively priced. The availability of an electric version with a quoted range of around 400 miles, alongside hybrid options, further strengthened its appeal for company car customers.

Positioned as a mid-size family SUV, the Vauxhall Grandland is aimed at both private buyers and the business market. The range already includes fully electric and hybrid versions, with further expansion planned. A plug-in hybrid variant is due to join the line-up in spring, followed by a long-range electric version later in 2026.

Pricing played a key role in the award decision. The electric Grandland starts from £35,455 on the road, including the Electric Car Grant, while the equivalent hybrid version is priced from £36,600. This approach places the model firmly within reach of fleets and company car drivers considering electrified alternatives.

Vauxhall’s management views the award as confirmation of the brand’s direction. Eurig Druce, Managing Director of Vauxhall and Stellantis UK Group Managing Director, said the recognition underlines the Grandland’s appeal to business users, describing it as a spacious, well-equipped SUV with efficient electrified options suited to fleets and company drivers alike.

The accolade also supports Vauxhall’s broader strategy of accessible electrification. The brand states that it now offers a fully electric version of every model in its line-up, positioning electric mobility as a realistic option for a wider audience. In this context, the Grandland’s success at the Company Car & Van Awards may further encourage fleet operators to accelerate the transition towards electrified vehicles.
