Lucid Group reports that the Lucid Air Grand Touring reached 520 km in the NAF Winter Test 2026, topping all competitors in extreme cold conditions.

The Lucid Air Grand Touring has delivered the longest real-world driving range at the NAF Winter Test (“El Prix”) 2026, underlining its position among the most efficient electric vehicles currently on the road. During the Norwegian winter evaluation, the car covered 520 kilometers on a single charge, the highest result recorded in this year’s test.

The route began in Oslo and combined city traffic, highways, mountain roads, and secondary routes. Temperatures dropped to around −30 to −31 degrees Celsius, making the 2026 edition one of the coldest winter tests ever conducted by NAF. The Lucid Air Grand Touring completed the entire distance without any charging stops, while the closest competitor reached 421 kilometers.

All vehicles in the test started fully charged and continued driving until they could no longer maintain the speed limit. A total of 24 production electric cars took part, reinforcing the NAF Winter Test’s reputation as the world’s largest real-world comparison of EV range in cold climates.

The results also highlight an important nuance. While the Lucid Air Grand Touring led in absolute distance, its winter range showed a deviation of roughly 46 percent below its WLTP rating. Several other models achieved shorter distances but stayed closer to their official WLTP figures. This dual perspective is central to the El Prix concept, which evaluates not only maximum range but also how closely real-world performance aligns with laboratory values.

The contrast with warmer conditions is striking. In the NAF Summer Test 2025, the same model set a record by covering 828.6 kilometers on a single charge. The gap between summer and winter figures clearly illustrates how severely low temperatures can affect electric vehicle efficiency, even at the top end of the market.

The winter victory in Norway fits into a broader pattern for Lucid. In 2025, the Lucid Air Grand Touring earned a Guinness World Records title for the longest journey completed by an electric car on one charge, travelling 1,205 kilometers from Switzerland to Germany. Taken together, these milestones reinforce Lucid’s standing as a benchmark for long-distance electric mobility, particularly as European consumers pay increasing attention to real-world performance in demanding conditions.
