Bentley has presented the new Continental GT S and GTC S, featuring a high-performance hybrid powertrain and advanced chassis technology. Learn more about the update.

Bentley has unveiled the new Continental GT S and Continental GTC S, positioning them as distinctly driver-focused models within the brand’s grand touring range. Inspired by the Supersports philosophy, the S versions broaden the Continental lineup by placing a stronger emphasis on dynamic engagement and sporting character rather than pure luxury alone.

Both models are powered by Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid system, delivering 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. This makes them the most powerful Continental GT S variants to date, offering an increase of 130 PS and 160 Nm over the previous generation. Performance figures underline this step forward, with acceleration from 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h). Despite this focus on performance, the hybrid setup also allows for up to 80 kilometres of pure electric driving, reflecting Bentley’s gradual transition toward electrified powertrains.

A key element of the S models’ character is their chassis technology. The Continental GT S and GTC S adopt the Bentley Performance Active Chassis, a package previously reserved for GT Speed and Mulliner variants. It combines active all-wheel drive, an electronic limited-slip differential, all-wheel steering, torque vectoring across and between axles, twin-valve dampers, and the 48-volt Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system. A new generation of ESC software allows the driver to explore a wider range of handling behaviours.

In Dynamic mode, the system permits a controlled level of rear-axle slip, while full deactivation of ESC enables the driver to balance the car on the throttle. Bentley describes this setup as its most driver-focused AWD configuration, aligning the S models closely with the brand’s Supersports-inspired approach.

The sporting intent is immediately visible in the exterior design. The Blackline Specification introduces darkened trim elements, gloss black detailing, tinted lighting and 22-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the S models receive a unique visual identity with a two-tone upholstery layout, Dinamica inserts on key touchpoints such as the steering wheel and seats, and Piano Black veneer as standard.

Positioned between the comfort-oriented Azure versions and the ultimate GT Speed, the new Continental GT S and GTC S occupy a distinct niche. By combining advanced hybrid technology with a more engaging chassis setup, Bentley signals that performance-focused grand touring will continue to play a central role in the brand’s future, even as electrification accelerates.
