Maserati Showcases Heritage and Bespoke Vision at The I.C.E. 2026
Maserati reports on its success at The I.C.E. St. Moritz 2026, featuring the MCPURA Cielo Frozen Magma debut and the award-winning 1949 Maserati 4CLT. Explore the key moments.
Maserati’s appearance at The I.C.E. St. Moritz 2026 clearly illustrated how the brand continues to balance its future vision with a deep respect for its past. On the frozen lake of St. Moritz, the Italian marque presented both an ultra-modern bespoke creation and one of its most important historic racing cars, earning strong recognition from the public and the event’s international jury.
The focal point of the contemporary display was the world premiere of the MCPURA Cielo FROZEN MAGMA, a unique one-off developed through the Maserati Fuoriserie programme. Shown on the ice at one of the most exclusive winter automotive events, the model drew attention not only for its striking interpretation of the MCPURA Cielo, but also for what it represents: Maserati’s growing emphasis on personalisation and tailor-made projects for a highly discerning clientele.
At the same time, Maserati reinforced its sporting heritage through success in the historical concours. Within the International Concours of Elegance, the jury awarded the 1949 Maserati 4CLT Best in Class in the Open Wheels category. The decision highlighted the car’s technical and stylistic excellence as well as its historical significance. With its tubular steel chassis and four-cylinder engine equipped with Roots-type superchargers, the 4CLT is widely regarded as one of the most advanced post-war Grand Prix single-seaters.
This dual presence — avant-garde bespoke design alongside a celebrated competition car — shaped a coherent narrative for Maserati at The I.C.E. 2026. It also resonated with the symbolic milestone of the Trident emblem, which first appeared on a Maserati racing car in 1926, underlining the continuity of the brand’s racing DNA.
The approach reflects Maserati’s broader strategic direction, embodied in the BOTTEGAFUORISERIE initiative, which brings together exclusive creations, heritage and racing know-how. The St. Moritz event demonstrated how the brand treats its history not as a static reference, but as an active foundation for innovation and future development.
Maserati’s presence was further reinforced by the display of its most prestigious models in the I.C.E. Village and by dynamic driving experiences on the frozen lake. Together, these elements confirmed the brand’s ability to combine modern performance, historical depth and contemporary luxury within a single, carefully curated showcase.
