Genesis has secured four Car and Driver 2026 Editors’ Choice Awards, with the G80, G90, GV70, and GV80 all named winners in their respective segments. The recognition comes after Car and Driver editors tested, evaluated, and inspected nearly 450 vehicles currently on the market.

According to Car and Driver, only vehicles earning at least a 9 out of 10 rating from its reviewers are eligible to receive an Editors’ Choice award. The selection process is based not only on overall impressions but also on measurable testing, including acceleration, braking, grip, and cabin noise levels. Editors also consider real-world factors such as highway fuel economy, electric driving range, and everyday practicality.

Genesis’ wins span multiple major categories. The Genesis G80 was selected as the top choice in the Luxury Mid-size Cars segment, while the flagship Genesis G90 earned the award in Full-size Luxury Cars. In the SUV field, the Genesis GV70 took the top spot among Compact Luxury SUVs, and the Genesis GV80 was recognized in the Mid-size Two-Row Luxury SUVs category.

The company views the awards as another milestone in a period of sustained growth. Genesis states that, in just a decade, it has surpassed one and a half million vehicles sold globally, highlighting the brand’s expanding footprint in the premium market.

In its announcement, Genesis also emphasized the advanced safety and convenience systems available across the lineup. These include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Monitor, Surround View Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance Assist, Parking Distance Warning, and Highway Drive Assist.

Technology and design remain central to the brand’s positioning. Genesis points to features such as an available 27-inch OLED display integrating the gauge cluster and infotainment system, available Bang & Olufsen premium audio, and Digital Key and Smart Key functionality. Design elements like the signature two-line headlamps with micro lens array (MLA) technology and the G-Matrix Crest Grille further reinforce the identity Genesis has been building in recent years.

This marks the fourth consecutive year in which Genesis has earned multiple Editors’ Choice awards, and the latest results suggest that the brand’s mix of design, technology, and driving experience continues to resonate with a key audience of new-vehicle shoppers. With Car and Driver’s evaluation process strongly focused on measurable performance and everyday usability, these awards may further strengthen Genesis’ credibility as a serious competitor in the luxury segment.
