Car Code reviews the updated Genesis GV60 facelift with an 84 kWh battery, up to 348-mile range, 800V charging, and interior upgrades. Read the details.

The facelifted Genesis GV60 does not attempt to reinvent itself, and that is precisely where its strength lies. Instead of dramatic changes, the model has received a series of carefully considered updates that make it feel more polished and complete as an electric crossover.

At first glance, the exterior changes are subtle. The front bumper has been redesigned, giving the nose a cleaner and more modern look, while aerodynamic elements have been refined for improved efficiency. The signature twin-line LED headlights remain, continuing to be one of the GV60’s most distinctive visual features. Along the sides, body-coloured cladding replaces the previous contrasting trim, making the car appear lower and more athletic.

Wheel options range from 19 to 21 inches, with even the standard 19-inch alloys now featuring darker, more refined detailing. The colour palette has been expanded with new shades, including a distinctive green that highlights the GV60’s sculpted bodywork particularly well, alongside several updated blue tones and optional matte finishes.

The most significant update is found beneath the bodywork. All versions of the GV60 now use an 84 kWh battery, an increase over the previous capacity. In rear-wheel-drive Pure specification, this translates into an official range of up to 348 miles. All-wheel-drive versions offer more power but slightly reduced range. Crucially, the 800-volt electrical architecture remains, allowing rapid charging from 10 to 80 percent in around 18 minutes on a compatible fast charger.

On the road, the GV60 Pure delivers a calm and refined driving experience. With 229 PS sent to the rear wheels, acceleration to 62 mph takes 7.8 seconds, which feels more than adequate for everyday use. The ride on 19-inch wheels is tuned for comfort, though sharper bumps still remind you of the car’s weight. Overall, the cabin remains quiet, and the one-pedal driving mode makes urban driving particularly intuitive.

Inside, the facelift brings noticeable changes. A new 27-inch OLED display combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment into a single, seamless panel. Physical climate controls have been retained, avoiding the need to rely solely on touch inputs. The rotary controller and the signature crystal-style gear selector continue to give the interior a distinctive character. Several upholstery options are available, including leatherette and optional Nappa leather in bold colour combinations.

Practicality is largely unchanged. Boot space measures 432 litres, while rear-wheel-drive versions benefit from a usable 53-litre front trunk. Rear-seat space is adequate rather than generous, but sufficient for everyday family use. Available technology includes a surround-view camera system and remote smart parking assistance, allowing the car to be manoeuvred from outside using the key.

Overall, the updated Genesis GV60 remains a niche but characterful option in the electric vehicle market. The increased range, refined interior and subtle exterior revisions make it feel more accomplished, particularly in its Pure specification, which balances efficiency, comfort and everyday usability.
