Genesis continues to methodically reshape its retail presence in the United States. The brand has announced the opening of nine new standalone dealerships, bringing the total number of dedicated retail facilities nationwide to 84 locations. For a marque that only a few years ago relied largely on shared Hyundai showrooms, this marks a significant step toward a fully established premium infrastructure of its own.

The newly opened facilities are located in Brooklyn, New York; Charleston, South Carolina; Commerce, Michigan; Downers Grove, Illinois; Louisville, Kentucky; Mountain View, California; Springfield, Virginia; Memphis, Tennessee; and Sarasota, Florida. The geographic spread covers both major metropolitan areas and fast-growing regional markets, underscoring Genesis’ intent to strengthen its footprint across diverse parts of the country.

According to Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, the brand’s philosophy is rooted in the concept of “Son-nim” — treating customers as honored guests. This approach is reflected in the design of the retail spaces, which are described as open and thoughtfully arranged environments showcasing the full lineup of sedans and SUVs, with a strong emphasis on comfort and personalized attention.

The expansion comes on the heels of a record year. In 2025, Genesis sold more than 82,000 vehicles in the United States, marking its best sales performance in the market to date. The company had previously reported steady year-over-year growth earlier in the decade, with 2024 setting the prior annual benchmark. The current retail rollout and sales momentum appear to be moving in tandem.

The standalone format has become a central pillar of Genesis’ retail strategy. Over the past two years, the brand has steadily increased the number of dedicated facilities, now reaching 84. At the same time, Genesis counts more than 200 independent U.S. retailers overall, yet it is the specialized standalone centers that are expected to reinforce the marque’s premium positioning and further distance it from the mass-market segment.

Another key component of the customer experience is Genesis Concierge, a complimentary service that pairs buyers with a personal advisor. The program can assist with arranging test drives, coordinating purchases, and, where available, organizing at-home vehicle delivery. The company presents this “white-glove” approach as an integral part of its brand identity.

Genesis retailers across the country now offer 2026 model year vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and electrified variants. Electrification remains a major element of the brand’s long-term roadmap: Genesis has previously stated its intention to transition to a fully electric lineup in the coming decade and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.

Given the pace of retail expansion, Genesis appears to be investing not only in its product portfolio but also in its physical presence — building a network designed to support continued sales growth and to solidify its standing in the competitive U.S. premium segment.
