The world’s first Porsche Club dedicated exclusively to fully electric sports cars has marked its official debut with a large-scale road trip. Registro Italiano E-motion brought together 131 participants and 73 electric Porsche vehicles for a journey from Franciacorta in Italy to the Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk museum near Salzburg. More than a weekend drive, the event signaled the beginning of a new chapter in Porsche’s club culture.

The starting point was the Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta, the eighth facility of its kind worldwide, opened in 2021 and spanning roughly 60 hectares. It was here, in May, that the club’s founding charter was signed. Registro Italiano E-motion itself grew out of an informal chat group created in 2021 by early Taycan owners during the pandemic. What began as discussions about software updates and charging solutions in Italy evolved into the first officially recognized all-electric Porsche Club.

The convoy featured 42 Taycan and 31 Macan models in various specifications, including the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package. According to official Porsche data, this version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds with Launch Control, delivers up to 760 kW of overboost power and reaches a top speed of 305 km/h. Its presence underscored that electrification, for Porsche, does not replace performance—it redefines it.

The alpine route via South Tyrol and the Brenner Pass also highlighted the importance of charging infrastructure. During a stop in Brixen, the group relied on Porsche’s mobile Turbo Charging trailers. Porsche states that these units can charge up to ten vehicles simultaneously. Published reports describe a battery system capacity of 2.1 MWh and a total output of up to 3.2 megawatts. Typically used in motorsport contexts, these mobile solutions demonstrated how racing-derived technology can support customer experiences.

The journey concluded at Traumwerk in Anger, opened in 2015 by Hans-Peter Porsche, grandson of Ferdinand Porsche. The museum combines automotive milestones with a vast collection of historical tin toys and an expansive model railway installation. The personal welcome by a member of the Porsche family added symbolic weight to the gathering: electric innovation meeting engineering heritage.

The emergence of Registro Italiano E-motion aligns with Porsche’s broader transformation strategy. The company previously stated that by 2030, more than 80 percent of its new vehicles should be fully electric. The Taycan, introduced in 2019 as Porsche’s first fully electric production model, recorded 20,836 global deliveries in 2024. Electrified variants of the Macan are also gaining importance within the lineup.

Against this backdrop, the formation of a dedicated electric club appears less like an experiment and more like a logical evolution. What started as digital exchange has become a tangible community on European roads. Porsche’s club culture, once defined primarily by combustion engines and exhaust notes, is increasingly shaped by battery power, technological ambition and a shared readiness for change.
