Infiniti QX60 Wins Parents Award for Best Luxury 3-Row SUV
Infiniti QX60 was named Best Luxury Mid-Size 3-Row SUV by Parents in its 2026 awards. Explore safety ratings, technology and family-focused features.
The Infiniti QX60 has been named Best Luxury Mid-Size 3-Row SUV in the 2026 Parents Best Family Cars Awards, a recognition reserved for vehicles that combine safety, practicality and modern technology in everyday family use.
Editors and experts at Parents evaluated more than 150 vehicles across multiple segments, focusing not only on specifications but on real-world family functionality. Key criteria included child-seat compatibility, seating flexibility, interior space, entertainment features and overall efficiency. Within that framework, the QX60 stood out for its balanced approach.
The model’s credentials are reinforced by its 2025 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation. To earn this award, a vehicle must achieve “Good” ratings in core crash tests, meet strict headlight performance standards and deliver strong results in pedestrian front crash prevention testing. Official IIHS documentation for the QX60 highlights successful crash avoidance scenarios, including nighttime conditions.
Inside, the three-row layout accommodates up to seven passengers. The second-row seats slide and tilt, easing access to the third row and simplifying child-seat installation. Cargo capacity reaches approximately 2.2 cubic meters, and when properly equipped the SUV can tow up to 2.7 tons, expanding its usability beyond daily commuting.
Driver-assistance and visibility technologies further support its family-oriented focus. Invisible Hood View uses advanced image processing from exterior cameras to display the area directly in front of the vehicle, while Front Wide View provides up to a 180-degree forward perspective, assisting in tight spaces and low-speed maneuvers.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine with variable compression, producing 268 horsepower and paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The current generation debuted in 2021 and received a facelift in 2025, aligning updated design and technology with evolving safety standards.
The Parents award underscores a broader trend in the premium three-row segment: family vehicles are increasingly judged on a comprehensive mix of crash protection, smart technology and adaptable interior design. In that context, the QX60 positions itself as a well-rounded contender.
