Ford Pro announced an update to the E-Transit Courier with a 46 kWh battery, up to 325 km WLTP range and 5G connectivity. Explore full specifications and details.

Ford Pro has updated the compact electric van E-Transit Courier, focusing on what matters most for business users: driving range, charging speed and digital integration. The upgrade, presented on 25 February 2026 in the Netherlands, affects several key parameters of the model.

The main change is the increase in battery capacity from 43 to 46 kWh. This lifts the driving range to 325 km according to the WLTP cycle, while some European reports indicate up to 334 km WLTP. In the compact electric LCV segment, this places the van at the upper end of the class. The electric motor remains rated at 100 kW (136 PS), with a top speed limited to 145 km/h and support for one-pedal driving.

The extended range is matched by a strong focus on charging practicality. DC fast charging of up to 100 kW allows for rapid energy replenishment: the Dutch release states that up to 114 km of range can be added in 10 minutes, while charging from 10 to 80 percent takes less than half an hour. For home or depot use, the van is equipped with an 11 kW AC onboard charger. Battery preconditioning is designed to improve efficiency, an important factor for vehicles operating on tight commercial schedules.

Load capacity remains one of the van’s core strengths. Cargo volume stands at 2.9 cubic metres, with a maximum payload of up to 700 kg. The vehicle can carry two Euro pallets, offers 1,220 mm between the wheel arches and a load floor length of 1,803 mm, extendable to 2,661 mm with the load-through bulkhead option. A 44-litre front trunk adds extra storage flexibility.

The 2026 update also enhances connectivity. The E-Transit Courier now comes standard with a 5G modem, enabling permanent access to the Ford Pro ecosystem, including navigation services, telematics and over-the-air software updates. In Europe, drivers gain access to more than one million public charging points through integration with the BlueOval Charge Network x Octopus Electroverse platform. Fleet operators can use Ford Pro tools to monitor state of charge and vehicle data in real time.

In terms of safety, the van offers a broad suite of driver assistance systems, including Pre-Collision Assist, Lane-Keeping System, Intelligent Speed Assist, parking aids and traffic sign recognition. The closely related passenger version, the Tourneo Courier, received a three-star rating from Euro NCAP in 2024, reflecting the overall safety architecture of the platform.

The E-Transit Courier is produced at the Ford Otosan plant in Craiova, Romania, alongside other electrified models. It forms part of Ford’s wider electrification strategy for the Transit family and the development of Ford Pro services aimed at reducing downtime and optimising total cost of ownership for business customers.

In the Netherlands, pricing starts at €28,410 (excl. VAT) for the Trend version and €29,810 for the Limited specification. With its larger battery, expanded digital ecosystem and unchanged cargo credentials, the updated E-Transit Courier strengthens Ford’s position in the competitive compact electric van segment, where range and charging access increasingly define purchasing decisions.
