Ford Presents E-Tourneo Courier and Tourneo Connect PHEV in the Netherlands
Ford has introduced the E-Tourneo Courier and Tourneo Connect PHEV in the Netherlands, expanding its electrified passenger range. Explore specs and details.
Ford continues to expand its Tourneo passenger vehicle line-up in Europe, responding to growing demand for versatile multi-purpose vehicles with electrified powertrains. In the Netherlands, the brand has introduced two new models — the fully electric E-Tourneo Courier and the Tourneo Connect Plug-in Hybrid — aimed at both private customers and business users.
Both models strengthen Ford’s presence in the M1 passenger car segment. Unlike some commercial vans, these vehicles have access to urban zero-emission zones, an increasingly important factor as environmental regulations tighten across European cities.
The E-Tourneo Courier targets customers seeking compact dimensions without sacrificing practicality. Its five-seat interior is paired with a luggage capacity of 1,188 litres, expandable to 2,162 litres when the 60:40 split rear seats are folded. An additional 44-litre frunk provides storage space for charging cables or smaller items. The maximum load length in the cargo area reaches 1,429 mm, allowing longer objects to be transported with ease.
The updated battery enables a driving range of up to 320 kilometres (WLTP). AC charging at 11 kW allows the battery to recharge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately three hours. DC fast charging supports up to 100 kW, enabling 100 kilometres of range to be added in around 10 minutes and 10 to 80 percent charging in less than 30 minutes. Drivers can adjust regenerative braking intensity and activate one-pedal driving for improved efficiency in urban conditions.
The Tourneo Connect Plug-in Hybrid focuses on flexibility. Available in two body lengths — L1 and L2 — it offers seating for up to seven occupants. The second and third rows can be folded, tilted or removed entirely, creating a maximum cargo volume of up to 3.1 cubic metres in the L2 version. A foldable front passenger seat allows transportation of items up to three metres in length.
The plug-in hybrid system delivers 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 1.49 l/100 km with CO₂ emissions of 40 g/km (WLTP). The model can travel up to 119 kilometres in fully electric mode, making it suitable for daily urban driving. Charging is supported at up to 50 kW DC as well as 11 kW AC.
The new additions complement the existing Tourneo Custom and E-Tourneo Custom models, expanding the range from compact five-seat vehicles to eight-seat configurations. In the Netherlands, pricing starts at €39,776 for the E-Tourneo Courier and €39,032 for the Tourneo Connect Plug-in Hybrid, including VAT and delivery costs.
With these launches, Ford positions the Tourneo range as a practical electrified solution for families, business fleets and professional transport services, reflecting the broader shift toward electrification within the multi-purpose passenger vehicle segment.
