Rolls-Royce staff raise £23,000 for Aldingbourne Trust charity
Rolls-Royce donated over £23,000 to Aldingbourne Trust, supporting people with learning disabilities. The 2025 charity is Dementia Support at Sage House.
In May 2025, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars reaffirmed its commitment to community engagement by presenting a cheque worth over £23,000 to the Aldingbourne Trust, its House Charity for 2024. The organisation supports people with learning disabilities and autism through vocational training, employment, and a network of social enterprises.
The funds were raised by staff at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, who organised a variety of team events and personal initiatives throughout the year. This active and heartfelt participation highlights the deep-rooted values within the company’s culture.
As a gesture of gratitude, clients of the Trust crafted a unique model of a Rolls-Royce car from reclaimed wood, some of which was donated by the company itself. This handcrafted piece will be proudly displayed at the brand’s Global Headquarters in Goodwood.
The partnership between Rolls-Royce and local charities dates back to 2003, when the Goodwood site first opened. Since then, the company has nominated and supported one local charity each year through a staff vote. Previous recipients have included the children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House and The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
Aldingbourne Trust reaches more than 1,500 individuals with disabilities, helping them to build fulfilling lives and contribute to society. Alongside woodworking, their social enterprises include horticulture projects and life-skills centres focused on independence and inclusion.
Looking ahead to 2025, the company’s House Charity is Dementia Support at Sage House in Tangmere. Located just minutes from the Goodwood headquarters, the centre provides integrated support services under one roof for individuals living with dementia and their families. Rolls-Royce’s enduring tradition of meaningful impact continues, strengthening the bond between enterprise and community.
