Uzi receives a custom electric G 580 from Mercedes-Benz after being inducted into the League of Legends Hall of Legends. Learn more about this unique tribute.

Mercedes-Benz continues to deepen its connection with the world of esports, this time paying tribute to one of the most influential players in League of Legends history — Jian “Uzi” Zihao. In anticipation of the Chinese player's upcoming induction into Riot Games’ newly established Hall of Legends, the automotive giant has presented him with a one-of-a-kind electric G 580, designed through its exclusive MANUFAKTUR customization program.

Uzi is set to become only the second player to join the Hall of Legends — an initiative launched in 2024 to honor the careers and cultural impact of the game’s most outstanding players. Following in the footsteps of the legendary Faker, Uzi’s recognition is especially poignant, as the celebration took place in his hometown of Shanghai — which also served as the backdrop for a special artwork created to commemorate the moment.

The gifted G 580 with EQ Technology is the first electric G-Class of its kind in China. Coated in a matte MANUFAKTUR Kalahari gold magno finish and featuring hand-crafted interior details including “Hall of Legends” engravings, the vehicle reflects both technical innovation and symbolic tribute. It stands not merely as transportation, but as a rolling homage to an esports icon.

Mercedes-Benz went beyond the car itself. In partnership with a renowned design studio, the brand unveiled a piece of artwork portraying Uzi alongside his G 580 in Shanghai. Hidden within the composition are numerous subtle references to Uzi’s professional journey — Easter eggs intended for the eyes of dedicated fans.

Bettina Fetzer, Vice President of Digital Communication at Mercedes-Benz, emphasized that legends are defined not only by victories but also by the legacy they leave behind. She noted the honor of marking Uzi’s path in such a meaningful way. On Riot Games’ side, Christopher Greeley, Global Head of League of Legends Esports, highlighted the individuality of the tribute and praised Mercedes-Benz’s deep understanding of both gaming culture and Uzi’s personal story.

The partnership between Riot Games and Mercedes-Benz dates back to 2020, with the brand becoming a familiar presence at the world’s premier esports stages. Gifting a customized G-Class and commissioning a bespoke piece of art marks a natural continuation of this collaboration — one that underscores Mercedes-Benz’s commitment and authenticity in engaging with the gaming world.
