Ram announced Lunar Edition versions of the 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon and Rebel during a total lunar eclipse. Discover the design changes, equipment and specifications.

Ram chose a rare astronomical moment to bring back a distinctive special edition of its heavy-duty pickups. During a total lunar eclipse, the brand announced the return of the Lunar Edition for the 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon and Ram 2500 Rebel. The package focuses on a space-inspired design theme while retaining the core capability of these well-known off-road heavy-duty trucks.

The Lunar Edition immediately stands out through its exterior styling. Both models feature a Ceramic Grey Clear-Coat finish paired with a Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat lower body. Black wheels complete the look — 17-inch units on the Power Wagon and 20-inch wheels on the Rebel — along with Lunar graphics and a body-color grille surround that replaces the standard finish. The monochromatic combination reinforces the trucks’ rugged appearance.

The interior receives an equally distinctive treatment. The cabins feature premium Natura Plus Black leather bucket seats with embossed Power Wagon or Rebel logos. One of the most noticeable design details is the Copperhead Orange contrast stitching that runs across the dashboard, doors, steering wheel, grab handles and even the column shifter. A unique alloy center console badge and a Mopar lockable console storage compartment add both exclusivity and practicality.

The Lunar Edition builds on the Level 2 Equipment Group, which brings a number of technology and comfort upgrades. Inside the cabin, drivers get a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 central touchscreen along with a 10.25-inch interactive display for the front passenger. The package also includes a 17-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, power adjustable pedals, passive entry with lock functionality and rain-sensitive windshield wipers.

Additional exterior equipment includes a sport performance hood, LED courtesy and bed lighting and a spray-in bedliner. Depending on the model, the trucks also receive specialized hardware: the Power Wagon adds a bumper-integrated WARN Zeon-12 winch rated at 12,000 pounds and Mopar rock rails, while the Rebel features power-deployable running boards.

Mechanically, both trucks retain the powertrains of their standard counterparts. The Ram 2500 Power Wagon Lunar Edition is powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 producing 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. The Ram 2500 Rebel Lunar Edition can be equipped with the 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output turbo diesel inline-six, delivering 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque.

These engines translate into substantial working capability. The Power Wagon offers up to 1,570 pounds of payload and up to 10,590 pounds of towing capacity. The Rebel, benefiting from its high-output diesel engine, raises those figures to as much as 3,300 pounds of payload and up to 19,890 pounds of towing.

The Lunar Edition package is priced at $1,995. The 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Lunar Edition starts at $86,385, while the Ram 2500 Rebel Lunar Edition begins at $93,885, both including destination charges. Orders for the new special editions are expected to open later in March.

The introduction of the Lunar Edition highlights Ram’s broader approach to themed versions of its pickups. In the heavy-duty segment, packages like this not only emphasize the off-road character of the Power Wagon and Rebel but also add a distinctive visual identity that helps these trucks stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
