Mercedes-AMG has revealed the interior of the upcoming AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, placing a clear emphasis on driver engagement, technology and precise control. The cabin is designed as a true performance command center, where every detail is intended to strengthen the connection between driver and machine.

Developed in Affalterbach, the interior reflects AMG’s ambition to merge the focused atmosphere of a sports car with the long-distance comfort expected from a Gran Turismo. The driving position immediately sets the tone: the seat is mounted low, reinforcing the sense of being closely integrated with the vehicle. This layout echoes the experience of the two-door AMG GT while adapting it to a four-door performance model.

At the heart of the concept is the AMG RACE ENGINEER system, which combines hardware and software to give the driver direct control over key dynamic parameters. A dedicated control unit on the center console allows quick adjustments through three rotary controllers.

The Response Control dial regulates how the electric motors respond to throttle inputs. Agility Control adjusts the vehicle’s behavior around its vertical axis, influencing cornering characteristics. The third controller, Traction Control, modifies the level of intervention of the traction control system. Together they form a tactile interface that provides immediate access to the car’s dynamic setup.

The digital cockpit revolves around two primary displays. A 10.2-inch instrument cluster sits directly in front of the driver, while a 14-inch multimedia screen is angled toward the driver for better visibility and interaction. Visually, both displays merge into a seamless glass surface. An additional 14-inch screen is available for the passenger, allowing the co-pilot to access separate content.

The interface operates on the new MB.OS operating system, Mercedes-Benz’s in-house software architecture designed to connect and control the vehicle’s electronic systems. Functions can be accessed through touch, voice commands or traditional physical controls. AMG deliberately retains tactile buttons and rotary switches so that critical adjustments can be made intuitively without distracting the driver.

Lighting also plays a key role in the interior experience. The panoramic SKY CONTROL roof can switch between transparent and opaque states, allowing occupants to regulate how much light enters the cabin. At night, it can transform into a luminous display featuring AMG logos and racing stripes integrated into the ambient lighting.

The front seats emphasize the car’s sporting character, offering strong lateral support during dynamic driving. Optional AMG Performance seats with integrated headrests highlight lightweight construction and a more track-focused feel. Despite the performance orientation, rear passengers benefit from a comfortable layout with two individual seats and generous legroom created by specially designed floor recesses.

The center console blends functionality with visual drama. Wireless smartphone charging pads, illuminated cupholders and metallic design elements create a high-tech yet tactile environment. Large round air vents and carefully crafted trim pieces reinforce the connection between digital interfaces and mechanical design.

Further personalization is possible through the MANUFAKTUR program, which offers exclusive colors, materials and handcrafted interior details for customers seeking a more individual specification.

With the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, Mercedes-AMG clearly signals that performance is no longer defined only by power and speed. The interior itself becomes an essential part of the driving experience — a carefully designed command center that allows the driver to shape how the car behaves on the road.
