Bentley presents Bentayga Artenara Edition inspired by Roque Bentayga
Bentley unveiled the Bentayga Artenara Edition, a design-focused SUV with Mulliner features, tri-colour interiors and inspiration from Gran Canaria’s Roque Bentayga.
Bentley has unveiled a new special version of its luxury SUV, the Bentayga Artenara Edition. The model is conceived as a design-focused interpretation of the Bentayga, bringing together several of the SUV’s most distinctive styling elements while introducing features previously associated mainly with the more exclusive Mulliner variants.
The name of the edition is closely tied to the geography of the Canary Islands. Artenara is a mountain village on Gran Canaria located at an altitude of roughly 1,200 to 1,270 metres and widely regarded as the highest settlement on the island. Nearby stands Roque Bentayga, the dramatic rock formation that inspired the name of Bentley’s luxury SUV. The site forms part of the cultural landscape known as Risco Caído and the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The choice of name therefore links the special edition directly to the place that originally inspired the Bentayga itself.
This connection to the landscape is reflected in the car’s design. Inside the cabin, the silhouette of Roque Bentayga appears as a laser-etched motif on the passenger fascia and is echoed in the perforated leather pattern across the seats and doors. The precise coordinates of the mountain are also engraved into the fascia. Customers who prefer a different interior style can replace this motif with Bentley’s alternative Harmony Quilting design.
The Artenara Edition is built around carefully curated combinations of colours and materials. Bentley offers eight recommended exterior finishes — Beluga, Granite, Pale Brodgar, Glacier White, Sequin Blue, Dark Sapphire, Verdant and Havana — each paired with its own three-colour interior scheme. Such tri-colour cabins were previously associated primarily with higher-end Mulliner versions of the Bentayga, including the extended wheelbase EWB models.
Inside the cabin, the accent colour is not limited to the seats. It runs along the lower fascia, around the centre console and appears on details of the steering wheel. In certain configurations the colour theme extends into the rear compartment, creating a more cohesive design throughout the interior.
Several of the curated combinations illustrate the variety of moods Bentley aims to achieve. The Pale Brodgar specification pairs Portland and Beluga hides with Linen accents and Piano Linen veneer for a calm and classic atmosphere. Verdant combines Saddle and Camel leather with Cumbrian Green highlights and Piano Cumbrian Green veneer. A more contemporary approach appears with Sequin Blue, complemented by Blackline exterior trim, dark wheels and a cabin featuring Linen and Beluga leather with Light Blue accents.
Externally, the Artenara Edition is distinguished by a number of features often associated with Mulliner models. These include the Double Diamond grille, 22-inch Mulliner wheels, Artenara Edition wing vents and a welcome lamp projection that illuminates the ground when the doors are opened. Bright Chrome exterior detailing is standard, while the optional Blackline Specification introduces darker exterior elements for a more contemporary and sporting look.
The special edition is offered with several powertrain configurations. In standard wheelbase form, the Bentayga Artenara Edition can be specified with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 550 PS and 770 Nm, or with a V6-based hybrid system delivering 462 PS and 700 Nm. The extended wheelbase version is paired with the V8 engine. Depending on the configuration, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h ranges from 4.5 to 5.3 seconds, while top speed reaches up to 290 km/h.
The SUV also retains Bentley’s contemporary digital features, including an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot and both wired and wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Artenara Edition forms part of a broader update to the Bentayga range. For the 2027 model year the lineup introduces a new exterior colour called Dark Teal, described as a metallic mid-blue shade with subtle green tones. Another addition is the new 23-inch Super Lux wheel, available for Azure, Artenara Edition and Bentayga EWB Mulliner models.
At the same time Bentley is expanding the availability of its Connected Car services. Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and South Africa are joining the Bentley connected ecosystem, allowing owners to access vehicle functions through the My Bentley app as well as through in-car, remote and emergency services.
According to Bentley, the Bentayga Artenara Edition will be available only for a limited time. The approach reflects the brand’s broader strategy for the Bentayga range — introducing special design editions that combine traditional craftsmanship with new technologies and evolving aesthetic themes.
