Fiat marks 70 years of the 600 with a 1955 classic and modern 600 Hybrid, Abarth 600e at 1000 Miglia 2025. Tribute to Giacosa, all-female crew.

Fiat is marking the 70th anniversary of the iconic 600 model not with a static tribute, but by taking it back to the roads — and into the spotlight of the 1000 Miglia. From June 17 to 21, 2025, a rare first-series, light-blue 1955 Fiat 600 will roll out of the Centro Storico Fiat museum in Turin and into the legendary rally, driven by an all-female crew. At the wheel will be Laura Confalonieri, Assistant Director of Ruoteclassiche, joined by journalist Valentina Menassi, a contributor to Il Giornale.

This appearance is more than a nostalgic gesture. It’s a celebration of a car that once redefined mobility for postwar Italy. Designed by Dante Giacosa — whose 120th birth anniversary is also being honored this year — the Fiat 600 helped democratize transportation. Small, agile, and affordable, it embodied the spirit of a nation rebuilding itself on four wheels.

Alongside the historic vehicle, Fiat and Abarth will showcase “Support Cars” that reflect how far the concept has come. The Fiat 600 Hybrid presents itself as an urban solution tailored for modern life, offering fuel efficiency, hybrid tech, and comforts like chromotherapy lighting and a built-in massage seat. Meanwhile, the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima isn’t just another EV — it’s the most powerful Abarth ever. With 280 horsepower and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.85 seconds, it’s a bold leap from Carlo Abarth’s early racers to electric dominance, rooted in Stellantis Motorsport expertise.

The 43rd edition of the 1000 Miglia follows the classic Brescia–Rome–Brescia loop, this year adopting a figure-eight route inspired by the rally’s earliest iterations. Over 400 vintage vehicles will take part in this celebration of endurance and engineering. For Fiat, the message is clear: the future of mobility is all the more meaningful when it carries the legacy of the past.
