Aston Martin launches N°001 Minami Aoyama, its first luxury private home in Asia, designed with VIBROA in Tokyo’s Omotesandō. Discover exclusive details.

Aston Martin has officially unveiled its first private residence in Asia — N°001 Minami Aoyama — marking the next bold step in the British marque’s push into the world of ultra-luxury real estate. The new four-storey townhouse rises in Tokyo’s prestigious Minami Aoyama district, just steps away from the iconic Omotesandō, long regarded as the heart of fashion and architectural innovation in the Japanese capital.

The project is the result of a close partnership between Aston Martin and Japanese developer VIBROA Inc., known for its focus on premium residential projects and tailored lifestyle services. Taking advantage of the site’s natural slope, the design includes a spacious basement level with a gym, wine cellar and even a golf simulator. The residence spans nearly 725 square metres in total.

One of the townhouse’s standout features is its automotive gallery on the ground floor. Here, two Aston Martin cars are displayed like works of art: adaptive lighting and a wave-textured metal ceiling transform a private garage into a striking design zone, seamlessly connected to adjacent living spaces through a glass vision panel.

The interior concept was shaped under the direction of Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer. Premium finishes run throughout: Molteni&C furnishings, grey oak, black lava stone, and a fully integrated Bowers & Wilkins sound system — a familiar touch for the brand’s sports car owners. The upper floors feature three en-suite bedrooms and a spacious rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Tokyo Tower and a section of planted green roof.

According to Japanese reports, the residence has already been sold to a private collector of Aston Martin cars, for an estimated price exceeding 3 billion yen. The launch of N°001 Minami Aoyama highlights Aston Martin’s expanding ambitions in Asia; earlier in 2024, the brand opened its new Ginza flagship showroom at The Peninsula Tokyo and continues its Middle Eastern venture with The Astera project on Al Marjan Island.

Industry observers note that such ventures show how the brand is building a broader world beyond the road. Other automakers are moving in the same direction — Bentley, for instance, is developing a Miami high-rise with a private car lift. In this light, Aston Martin’s Tokyo residence is not just a rare blend of automotive design and architecture, but also a telling symbol of the marque’s drive to secure its place in the ultra-luxury lifestyle market far beyond its iconic sports cars.
