New Titanium Sports Exhaust by Akrapovic for Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur
Bentley partners with Akrapovic to offer a titanium sports exhaust for Continental GT, GT Convertible and Flying Spur, enhancing sound and cutting weight by up to 10 kg.
Bentley continues to refine the character of its models with new details — this time, the spotlight is on a sports exhaust system developed in collaboration with the renowned Slovenian brand Akrapovič. Known since 1990 for high-performance exhausts for motorcycles and cars, Akrapovič teamed up with Bentley’s engineers to give the Continental GT, GT Convertible, and Flying Spur an even more expressive voice.
At the core of the new system lie titanium and super-alloys, cast in Akrapovič’s in-house titanium foundry. This approach enables a weight reduction of up to 10 kilograms compared to the standard system, directly improving the vehicle’s dynamics and response. Beyond saving weight, the exhaust adds a defining touch: when SPORT mode is activated, valve-controlled bypass flaps open up, producing a deep V8 growl and distinctive burbles on overrun. This effect is no accident — it results from meticulous acoustic tuning, where every detail highlights the unique character of the High Performance and Ultra Performance hybrid powertrains.
Visually, the system makes no secret of its sporty edge. The matte titanium finish is sandblasted and coated for added durability and scratch resistance, while the four tailpipes proudly carry both Akrapovič and Bentley branding. Engineers emphasise that the design prioritised maximum strength and optimum heat flow, giving drivers not only a thrilling sound but durability proven in motorsport technology.
Customers can order the titanium sports exhaust as an option when commissioning a new Bentley or retrofit it later through the official retailer network. It is already available for all fourth-generation Continental GT, GT Convertible, and Flying Spur models, regardless of the chosen hybrid powertrain. Notably, Bentley also offers similar systems for other models, including the Bentayga, gradually shaping a unified approach to how the brand’s cars sound and feel under its Beyond100+ strategy.
In this way, the new Akrapovič exhaust is not just a technical upgrade but another fine brushstroke in Bentley’s image — modern, powerful, and tuned with a clear focus on efficiency and crafted detail.
