Porsche has launched its first Charging Lounge in Switzerland, offering 400 kW charging and exclusive comfort for EV drivers near Lake Geneva.

Porsche has officially inaugurated its first Charging Lounge in Switzerland, located in the municipality of Signy-Avenex near Nyon and Lake Geneva. This marks the seventh premium charging station of its kind, but the first one beyond Germany and Austria, targeting Porsche drivers in the French-speaking region and those traveling between France and Germany.

The site was chosen strategically: just minutes from the A1 motorway connecting Lausanne and Geneva, it offers six ultra-fast charging points with up to 400 kW of power each. A Taycan, for instance, can recharge from 10% to 80% in only 18 minutes, while the new Macan requires around 21 minutes. Pricing is equally efficient — a flat rate of 0.39 CHF/kWh, billed through the Porsche Charging Service.

Operating 24/7, the station blends high-end technology with brand-driven comfort and design. Developed by Studio F.A. Porsche, the interior and exterior follow a modular approach, using minimal concrete, clean geometry, and a mix of glass and wood. Inside, guests find lounge chairs, a coffee machine, snack and drink dispensers, modern sanitary facilities, and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Outside, integrated speakers accompany the seating zones.

Sustainability plays a key role in the lounge’s architecture. Heating and cooling are handled via a heat pump, and part of the power supply comes from photovoltaic panels on the roof — a concept already proven effective at other sites like Bingen and Leonberg, where it helps reduce emissions without sacrificing performance.

Access is granted via Porsche ID — using license plate recognition, a QR code from the My Porsche app, or a Porsche Charging Card. Notably, the My Porsche app was recently named the best charging app among automakers by Auto Bild, earning top marks for usability, pricing, and network reach.

The network continues to grow. In Switzerland, Porsche collaborates with GoFast AG, the operator of the country’s most extensive high-power charging network. Currently running around 90 stations, GoFast aims to expand to over 200 locations in the coming years.

In essence, this new Charging Lounge represents more than just another fast-charging station — it signals Porsche’s firm commitment to premium customer experience and sustainable electric mobility.
