Mercedes-Benz reveals electric CLA Shooting Brake with EQ Technology, 761 km range, fast charging, illuminated panoramic roof, and digital MBUX features.

Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled its first all-electric CLA Shooting Brake with EQ Technology, marking a significant step in expanding its new-generation compact vehicle lineup. Just weeks after the debut of the electric CLA sedan, this Shooting Brake variant blends dynamic design with everyday versatility and advanced digital intelligence.

The focus is firmly on practicality: the vehicle offers 455 to 1,290 litres of luggage space, an illuminated 101-litre frunk, standard roof rails, and a towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg (with all-wheel drive). With a WLTP range of up to 761 km and the ability to recharge 310 km in just 10 minutes, the new Shooting Brake comfortably enters the long-range EV segment.

But this model isn’t just about distance and space. The panoramic roof introduces a new layer of luxury, offering switchable transparency in milliseconds. By night, 158 ambient-lit stars embedded in the glass surface create a stunning “starry sky” effect, aligned with the interior lighting settings — a visual highlight for passengers and onlookers alike.

On the digital front, the car runs on the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), featuring the fourth-generation MBUX with AI support from ChatGPT-4o, Microsoft Bing Search, and Google Gemini. The interactive in-car avatar isn’t just a gimmick — it remembers preferences, continues conversations, and adapts to emotional tone, functioning as both navigator and companion.

The optional MBUX Superscreen spans up to three displays, including a passenger screen that supports cloud gaming through Boosteroid. Users can stream Disney+, play triple-A titles, and connect gaming controllers — turning the cabin into a full-fledged entertainment lounge, even while on the move.

Built on the new Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA), the CLA Shooting Brake shares its base with future EV and mild-hybrid models, paving the way for streamlined production and cost efficiency. This approach not only enhances sustainability but also ensures design flexibility across body styles.

The electric CLA Shooting Brake will hit the European market in March 2026. Targeted at drivers who crave a mix of practicality, high-tech luxury, and distinctive style, it offers an appealing package for those unwilling to compromise between function and flair.
