Rivian has introduced discounts of up to $6,000 on select R1T and R1S configurations. The offer is valid until March 31, 2025, for in-stock vehicles. Learn more about eligibility and details.

Rivian has launched a major discount program for its all-electric R1T pickup and R1S SUV, offering savings of up to $6,000 on select configurations. The deal is valid for orders placed between January 21 and March 31, 2025, with delivery required by the end of March.

To qualify for the discount, buyers must request a trade-in valuation for their gasoline or hybrid vehicle—though they are not required to actually trade it in. This strategy likely aims to expand Rivian’s customer base and encourage more internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle owners to switch to EVs.

The discount breakdown is as follows:

  • Tri with Max battery$6,000
  • Dual with Max battery & Performance Upgrade package$4,500
  • Dual with Max battery$3,000

The offer applies only to in-stock vehicles—custom orders, demo models, and used vehicles are not eligible.

This move aligns with Rivian’s broader strategy of aggressive sales incentives. Over the past months, the company has introduced various discount programs. In October 2024, it launched the "All-Electric Upgrade Offer," granting a $3,000 discount to customers switching from gasoline-powered vehicles. In September, the "Friends & Family" program provided a $2,500 discount on 2025 models, while earlier programs offered up to $6,000 off 2023 and 2024 models.

Given these trends, Rivian appears to be ramping up efforts to boost demand in early 2025, potentially in response to increasing competition in the EV market. This may be a reaction to slowing order growth or an attempt to clear existing inventory faster. Looking at Rivian’s recent pricing strategies, this latest offer presents an especially attractive opportunity for those considering an electric truck or SUV purchase.
